Spotted Gar, Lepisosteus oculatus (from Scott and Grossman 1973). deau Bay and Point Pelee populations receive some protection from their locations in, respectively, a pro- vincial and a national park. There is, however, com- mercial fishing in Rondeau Harbour. Population Size and Trends The Spotted Gar usually occurs in small numbers throughout much of its range (Cross 1967; Clay 1975; Pflieger 1975).
