Labor Day has long come and gone, but thankfully fashionable women everywhere have stopped relegating their whites to summer and are taking the look well into fall. Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, and Sarah Jessica Parker are just a few of those who’ve recently stepped out in shades of pale. And over the weekend, Olivia Palermo showed no signs of stopping, dressed head to toe in a feminine ensemble punctuated with edgy, 1990s-inspired throwback wardrobe staples.

While Palermo focused on ladylike dresses, ribbed knits, and blooming floral prints during fashion month, all were sported with boyish undertones. And this weekend’s look didn’t deviate. Acting as the ideal counterpoint to her fluid top-and-skirt combination from her line for Chelsea28 were Dior’s lug-sole boots. They grounded Palermo’s look with a Cyndi Lauper-esque effect, bringing an air of fun to the ensemble and taking the preciousness out of one-note dressing.

Amping up the effect are a dainty belt and structured tote from Max&Co.
