A member of the Corydoras species that is fine with warmer temperatures making them an ideal addition to a tropical community tank.Their natural habitat would be a dark environment of tree roots and leaves with a sandy substrate but they will be happy in a well planted tank with plenty of hiding places. As with other Corydoras, they scavenge for food on the substrate meaning it must be kept really clean and no undergravel filteration. They will be happiest with a sand substrate, which they sift through their gills when looking for food, but if kept with gravel you must ensure this is really smooth. They are a communal fish and need to be kept in a group
