Hollywood star Vincent Gallo will be featured as the face of G-Star Raw’s fall/winter 2011 campaign next to British actress Gemma Arterton.
It’s not the first time for the 50-year-old, best known for directing, acting and starring in films like Buffalo 66 and Arizona Dream, to be involved in fashion. Gallo already modelled for Calvin Klein and collaborated with fashion photographer Terry Richardson. The actual work with photographer and film maker Anton Corbijn at the Port Autonome in Marseille shows another interesting profile of the actor in a series of black-and-white images.
Wearing the 5-pocket denim 3301 by G-Star Raw, Vincent Gallo seems to fit in the campaign’s philosophy. Shubhankar Ray, Global Brand Director of G-Star Raw, explains: “Vincent is unorthodox, authentic, imperfect and raw; all characteristics matching G-Star’s DNA. We are happy to have an independent trailblazer and cultural artist like Vincent as our new face.”
The G-Star Raw f/w 2011 campaign will hit stores by mid September 2011 and will be marked with a special hang-tag for easy identification.
