Purple Zebra Shrimp Potamalpheops sp. Overview The Purple Zebra Shrimp is a very cool looking shrimp but unfortunately it is really not a viable shrimp to keep in captivity. They do not breed in freshwater, are relatively small, and hide most of the time. It is a nice shrimp to keep as far as its appearance but do not expect much else unfortunately.
