Iridescent Structural Colour on a Pinoy Ghost Angelfish

In the domesticated angelfish ( Pterophyllum ) there is a recessive gene mutation that causes the development of iridescent structural colour on the crown, back and three unpaired fins. This recessive gene mutation is called Platinumblue. It was discovered in a Platinum angelfish, a combination of the gold angelfish and the homozygous recessive gene mutation, hence the name Platinum.
