Notes:  Mimulus ringens (Monkeyflower) bears showy pale purple flowers through much of the summer, often occurs along streambanks and ponds, a nice addition to moist garden spot and the butterflies will come.  The common name is due to the purported resemblance of the flower to a monkeyface...not seeing that, but maybe you will?!
