Adriana Lima opted for a natural look as she returned to the red carpet after causing a stir with her last public appearance.

The former Victoria's Secret Angel stepped out to the Mon Chéri Barbara charity gala in Munich with a toned down look opting for a simple earth-toned gown with cape to the bash. She also kept her making look simple, with a nude-toned base and lips, opting for a very low-key appearance.

The Brazilian beauty, 42, attended the event which aims to raise vital funds for disaster relief, children with disabilities and medical assistance projects just weeks after she faced a barrage of comments about her looks after stepping out to a movie premiere. Last month she powerfully hit back after fans claimed she looked "unrecognisable" during the red carpet appearance.

She was flooded with comments accusing her of having cosmetic procedures and suggesting she had a "swollen face" as she attending the Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes premiere in Los Angeles. Wearing a form-fitting black mini dress accented with scarlet red, Adriana posed for photos with her glossy brown locks styled in a simple straight hairdo behind her shoulders. She completed the look with matching crimson strappy stilletos and lipstick.

Despite looking flawless, some online accused her of recovering from surgery as she didn't look like the "same person". One person took to social media to say: "I would have had no idea that was the same person," while another said she could be "swollen" from a "facelift" or "fillers".

A third person wrote: "OH NOOOOOO! What did she do to her face?! and WHY????? She was perfect before." However, Adriana shut down claims and said her slightly different looks are down to being a busy mum.

She shut down surgery claims and she took a makeup free selfie in her kitchen and said: "This is the face of a tired mom of one teenage girl, two pre-teens, one active boy, a 1 year old learning to walk, and three dogs... thanks for your concern."

The mum-of-three is best known for being a Victoria's Secret model, but she has said since she became a mum she wants to be known for more than just her looks and that her usual beauty routine has gone out the window.

Speaking to Vogue India in 2020, Adriana said her two eldest daughters are following in her footsteps and are already experimenting with makeup and beauty products. She said: "I try to teach them to love the skin they're in and eat healthily for their bodies and to also practise positive mental wellness through meditation."

Adriana has three children in total - two from a previous relationship and one with her current partner. She was previously married to former pro basketball player Marko, 41, from 2009 but the two of them announced their separation in 2014 before finalising their divorce in 2016.

The former couple share their daughters, Valentina and Sienna, together. However, Adriana is now in a relationship with film producer Andre Lemmers. They welcomed their baby boy Cyan last year.
