Very addictive. Time limit after level four gets to be quite difficult though. Basic game but lots of fun! Shame about the poor sound- theres an annoying but catchy intro jingle. It will be in your head for days!!

Very good puzzler, but the time limit is too tough.

Nice little puzzler that got you scratching your head for a while. Nothing to look at or listen to but gameplay wins in the end. :)

Very addictive puzzle game with a weird sound effect for when the player fails.

Yeah, but Pipe Mania sure is fun. It's challenging to construct and complete the pipeline before the flow starts and the Tetris-like bonus level is a nice addition. All very enjoyable. But you have to use your brain to play this one right, especially in the higher levels. I guess Joti didn't really persisted to get deeper into this game because of that.

By the way, if you wonder about what makes this particular game 'so good', you might as well wonder what the hell is so great about modern games where the player is walking endlessly into quasi 3D landscapes, collecting weapons, shooting enemies for the hundredth time.... Find another powerful weapon, look for ammo to shoot the bad guys that hide in their predictable ambushes...

@Joti: Games where you had to pick piles, pipes etc. Or move them around were extremely fashionable at the turn of the decade. Back then they were celebrated as original ideas, but I always found that questionable. So, all in all, they seem a bit stupid today, but if you have a couple of minutes to kill, then you may as well ask yourself: why the hell not?

I remember this got rave reviews but I just don't see what's so good about it... Find the next piece of pipe before the water pours out - WHO CARES?!

Fantastic game, truly addictive and challenging, with an especially neat bonus game. Possibly the greatest single-load C64 game.

And why is that guy at the background of the cover screaming in agony?

This was my favourite "pipe game". There used to be a lot of these kinds of pipe games, they seem to have disappeared now. Too bad...

Probably the only puzzle game I enjoyed in my gamesplayer life (OK Bombuzal and Zenji weren't bad but I like this better). Fun fun fun.

An absolute classic. Graphics and sound is OK, it is the game-play that is excellent. Addictive like no other. A game no one should miss.
