Vanessa Hudgens is taking her relationship with Cole Tucker to the next level.
In February 2023, news broke that Hudgens and her boyfriend of two years, Cole Tucker, got engaged. And in December, they married in an intimate beach ceremony in Mexico.
To some fans, the news may seem to have come out of left field, particularly given her previous high-profile relationships with fellow actors Zac Efron and Austin Butler. But even as a Hollywood outsider, Tucker has cultivated a notable identity in his own right—and, above all, has managed to keep Hudgens smitten over the course of their sweet relationship.

He is a shortstop and outfielder.
MLB-drafted since 2014, the 26-year-old baseball star currently plays as a shortstop and outfielder for the Colorado Rockies. He previously held those positions for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2019 to 2022.
The athlete also boasts the special skill of switch hitting, where he's able to bat both lefty and righty.
He met Vanessa over Zoom.
The athlete first encountered Hudgens during a remote meditation session over Zoom, the actress revealed to Entertainment Tonight in April 2021. "Very random, yes," Hudgens told ET's Katie Krause at the time. "Zoom, you've got to love it."
Vanessa slid into his DMs.
Hudgens clarified that it was she who boldly made the first move by sliding into his DMs.
"If I want something or someone, I'm going after them," the actress later told host Drew Barrymore during a May 2021 appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show. "I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, 'Hey, it was nice to meet you.' So I think there is no shame in making the first move."
He has two younger siblings.
Tucker is elder brother to Carson "Dookie" Tucker, a fellow baseball star who currently plays for the Cleveland Indians, and Quinn Tucker, who works in photography and film.
He is Vanessa's "forever."
On Valentine's Day 2023, just one week after the actress confirmed her engagement to Tucker on social media, she shared a heartfelt post on Instagram dedicated to their love.
"Real magnetic love is out there," Hudgens captions a sweet photo of the athlete giving her a kiss on the cheek during what looks to be their engagement party (note the white outfits and the "Mr. & Mrs." balloons.
