They are great plants if you’re trying to breed fish, as fish enjoy hiding in between the leaves of the Myriophyllum scabratum due to their soft texture.

The ideal conditions of the Myriophyllum scabratum

To thrive, the Myriophyllum scabratum may need occasional fertilizing to ensure that it gets all the trace elements it requires to be healthy. It grows just fine with medium lighting, but it requires soft water at a temperature of 72 – 78 °F. The pH should be kept neutral.
