Pretty much a sweeter reflection man. Not sure which I like more. Regardless which one I like more it's not really for me. For some reason I interpret something akin to insect repellant from both.

Odor Aeternitatis

I did not like this fragrance. Imagine a bubblegum type of fragrance with a high amount of orange blossom. Very disappointing.

This stuff is so beautiful, performs like few others, and projects so well i can smell
myself on a breezy summer day. Most scents either don’t last or don’t project or both. This is the triple threat. Only issue is the retail price. $183 is insane but they have been on sale at Macys for $155. One of the best scents in my entire collection of 45 bottles

Cozybit

This smells 80% like MYSLF, 15% like Le Male, 5% like Sauvage Elixir. I got a normal amount of longevity with above average projection/sillage. Not sure what the hype is surrounding this one.

vikingboy777

This fragrance smells extremely floral and musky. It has a strange medicinal smell reminiscent of the muscle spray Deep Heat. This is not a masculine or modern fragrance. This has an 1980's vibe. Please try before you buy because I do not recommend this at all. Thoroughly disappointed with this fragrance I was expecting something fresh and modern. But all I get is old florals and musk.

unklemoses

So I was walking through a hallway today and I noticed the smell of a familiar perfume and I thought is that Joop or what, because my son likes to wear it in winter but it's not winter and he has put that away already until the next colder season.. and I thought why would he.. and than I saw the blotter I took back yesterday from a store and it was it, this Gucci Elixir still going strong and powerful as if it has been sprayed on an hour or two ago. So yeah, potency of the perfume is just off the charts and yeah it develops into something pretty close to Joop 🙃

ACBCNTW

Today I finally got to sample this one in Abu Dhabi!
Simply put , it is like a smooth combo of Fleur du Male + Kouros!! If you happen to be the fan of these 2 masterpieces , you will absolutely enjoy this. But if you’re not, this one may be not that easy to wear as a mass appealing scent.

Reviews must be approved by showing a photo of recipe or something.
Misleading reviews just make this site worst.
Anyways got another bottle to test 4044 it's 2 months only .
Nothing changed it's very powerful projects like crazy and the quality is like everyone knows top.
It works at summer nights also very elegant sophisticated perfume.

NatLed01

Zajímalo by mě jestli jsem jediná žena která ho občas taky používá :-)

FragChronic

Root Beer Cream Soda.

This has that Cola Vibe, I'm surprised nobody has said this smells like the original Armani Code

Tripokaridos

Green Goblin 💚 amazing quality that is very powerful without being synthetic.

Saltychipdust

It smells nice. Is it $183 for a 2oz bottle nice? I won’t be buying it at retail and I don’t feel bad. These companies have gotten so greedy it’s almost comical. I understand paying for someone’s art but it’s scented water at the end of the day. When I find it for $100 bucks I’ll scoop it up and be happy. If it never comes down that low it’ll be forgotten and probably discontinued due to lack of sales.

Saintauriene

I love this fragrance. I received it for Christmas and was pleasantly surprised by the performance! Last all day and night. It literally radiates off my skin. I get plenty of compliments when I wear this fragrance.

Gulag Gary

I like it, I just don't love it. I will continue to test it and update my review if something changes.

The vanilla and powdery notes overpower the white florals too much here, but maybe I think this way because I'm a big fan of florals.

Saad0540

It smells like ÔIKB Santi Burgas
The similarity is 100%

qthompson1

This is a very good fragrance. Although it's designer it has niche quality. I wore it for the first time today. I sprayed at 9am it's 9:25pm and I've can still smell it. It goes well with my body chemistry.

SwavScent12

That’s it!

Couldn’t place my mind on what it reminded me of but it’s reminiscent of Rosendo Mateo No.5

RM5 with a splash of vanilla

SwavScent12

Feel like a lot of the reviews on here are fake

Reflection man ? This is not

Still very pleasant, strong vanilla accord. Can almost see the Pegasus comparisons but think this is something of its own. Still nice a worth a try

George Gk

This is the best perfume of whole time. I have tried hundrets.. This is just the best. Excellent performance, projection and by far the most complimented fragrance that I own. 10/10. Amazing perfumery by Gucci!!

OwlFactory

In a word: Spellbinding. 10/10. It gripped me from the moment I first smelled it in the Fall of 2023. But I had been purchasing so many other scents that I had to resist. Months went by and I never stopped thinking about this fragrance. It reaches out and grips anyone near you. Men. Women. Doesn't matter. The 2024 formulation is a tad lighter than the ferocity of 2023 bottles, but it's still magical. Worth every penny.

gg23

This is the first men's fragrance from Gucci that truly made me want to purchase a bottle. Vanilla, benzoin and patchouli create an addictive sweet and slightly herbal scent with some ambrofix pushing it off the skin. It has great longevity and I kept getting whafts of it all day so it probably projects really well for a long time. It's very sweet and has some feminine edges to it, but still leans masculine overall. To address the "reminds me of" section, there are indeed some similarities to the Le Male line and to PDM's Pegasus, but this is still very much its own scent. 9/10

Jaysned496

I received a 4904 (April 3rd 2024) batch and it's watered down compared to the 3219(7th Aug 2023) sample I got with my full bottle. Doesn't last more than 5 hours with only 2 hours of projection!!!
Only joking of course but people are crazy and will scream REFORMULATION before the years even through. My bottle is powerful, long lasting, projects really well with monster sillage. 2 sprays will be more than enough.

Semi-Pro Word Reader

......This is mind blowing

Az-316

I tried Reflection today and I can say that GGE is the EDT or the smoother version of Amouge Reflection … almost Identical

Abel96

It is almost the same as reflection 45, maybe a little sweeter, vanilla is more prominent. since I can't afford the reflection 45, I layer the OG reflection with it and its DIABOLICAL!

FelixEdt

lasted 72 hours on my skin...

Saltychipdust

This would be great hadn’t I already smelled Reflection Man. Honestly the only bad thing about this scent is the price. I do think it’s a sweeter scent but buy on the grey market and pick up Reflection instead. Just my two Pennie’s!!! That 60ml bottle looks a bit ridiculous especially at over $175. These fragrance houses really need to start working harder if they want me to part with my hard earned cash. Come up with some new ideas.

TheTrackEnthusiast

Easily one of the most beautiful scents ever. It’s so beautiful and unique. Comparing this to reflection man is a disservice to the fragrance. This is so much more complex, deeper, and longer lasting. My HUGE issue is paying niche + pricing for a designer fragrance that’s only 2 oz

Yannis_smells

Wasn’t that impressed the first few times I sprayed it but it has grown on me.
I would say that it’s a grown up, sophisticated and higher quality Joop Homme.
It has beast performance and would suit the older gentleman.
7/10

SirSmellsGood

Hands down my favorite fragrance I have smelled so far. (I've smelled well over a hundred now)
I also have a sample of Amouge Reflection Man and see the similarities. However imo Guilty Elixir is better with the vanilla in the mix.

LucretiaRocksAway

Being that Reflection Man and Pegasus are 2 of my favourites, this on paper sounded right up my ally, but instead of this taking the best of both worlds it kind of just is an okay mix of both, it's not as clean or sophisticated as Reflection Man, and isn't as creamy or 'seductive' as Pegasus which in my opinion is the best Vanilla based men's fragrance though I'm sure many will disagree.

It's not a bad scent at all though, and I love to see designer houses releasing more modern and daring scents.

LeDop

amouage reflection man weared by a notorious womanizer.. i know that smell is subjective but whoever says that GG Elixir isn't sublime is a liar. I will buy another 2 bottles.

Fire___

@Brave828 I think you've been crushing too many ants and sniffin too many leaves

Chicago Tony T

Similar to Lapidus Altamir. Very bright and bold almost gourmand but not fully. The orange blossom note lasts the duration of the scent so if you are against florals you won't like this. Tons of benzoin and vanilla in the drydown with a pinch of spiciness. Good for year round wear as it's not cloying and lasts all day but if money is tight check out Altamir.

Beachhouse99

I have a sample of this and absolutely love this fragrance. It reminds me of Amouage Reflection with some leather notes and vanilla. Longevity is big, I can still get waves of the scent as I watch t.v. and make me like it even more. I will definitely get a bottle.

FragChronic

I just sampled this at Shoppers and its a Bomb, wow, she sprayed 3 times on the strip and it filled the entire beauty department, she also spray JPG elixir and Ocean Parfum, and all you could smell was the Gucci, and as for the description, I think fj46 nails it succinctly so I will copy and paste his review,..."Ignoring the listed notes, this gives the vibe of floral, sweet, gasoline leather with undertones of vanilla"...good one fj46 , you get the leather for sure, and the orange blossom floral note......Rich!! and powerful!! I will purchase soon, as I heard they will reformulate ,and it won't be the powerhouse this 1st vintage is.

fj46

To me this is a masterpiece. Ignoring the listed notes, this gives the vibe of floral, sweet, gasoline leather with undertones of vanilla. Its very smooth from top to bottom which makes identifying individual notes difficult. I don't understand how this is not more talked about. Its sexy, addicting, versatile, and unique. It performs amazing and doesn't feel nauseatingly sweet like many current elixirs.

KJS88

It’s giving Pegasus and Reflection Man in equal measure, but made less expensively. It’s not giving Le Male, Fleur du Male, Gaultier2, or Hypnotic Poison at all, I have and am intimately familiar with all of those scents. Also not what I’d call “feminine,” there’s a sweet but definite masculinity to it. Like both Pegasus and Reflection Man, it gives me a splitting headache--it's extremely strong and I can still vaguely smell it on the back of my hand after washing my hands 5-6 times and a long shower. Really not for me, I don't need or want explosive sillage and nuclear longevity - I still have PTSD from a Dior Sauvage incident in 2018. Regardless, it's far from the worst thing around, and I really can appreciate how others would enjoy this.

khurramnaseer

Guilty Elixir de Parfum presents an olfactory journey that captivates from the first whiff to the lingering traces hours later. The initial impression evokes memories of the sophisticated aura of Amouage Reflection Man, yet as it settles, it unveils a unique character that is both sweeter and powdery, reminiscent of a delightful fusion between Reflection Man and PDM Enclave, with subtle hints of PDM Pegasus.

What truly sets Guilty Elixir apart is its exceptional performance. The fragrance boasts an impressive longevity that defies expectations. Even after 21 hours, I can still defect the faint traces on my skin, demonstrating the enduring quality that justifies its premium price tag.

In essence, Guilty Elixir de Parfum is a symphony of elegance and longevity, making it a worthy addition to any fragrance collection.

Bob Vog

I smelled this in a Gucci store. I liked it, but I'm not clever enough to recognize the somewhat unusual ingredients (is that the right word?), and just couldn't pin it down. It is pungent and pleasant. When I learned it is by Quentin Bisch I ordered a bottle from the Gucci online store, and looking forward to wearing it. Should be interesting.

So I got the product, and tried it a few times. Hmm, I think it's a good formulation, just seems like maybe it's not made with the highest quality ingredients. It's a no for me.

exmin

unique and gorgeous but overpriced. does actually smell less screechy, less sweet and more NATURAL than reflection man! explain that...

aldo91

tested today
huge projection & sillage and a very unique smell
is way overpriced but for me is a 9/10

Starship Neroli ★★★★☆

I’ve reflected on the style of Quentin Bisch in my review of Guidance he made for Amouage – “the extraordinarily strong (almost too strong) projection, the proudly synthetic and linear structure, and that transparent-but-forceful signature of his.” And yet again, Guilty Elixir is so recognizably a Bisch creation through and through that one can only marvel how talented he is at creating novel scents while remaining true to his own signature. I thought Guidance was rather mediocre, but Guilty Elixir is a success story, something worth buying despite the unusually steep price for a designer brand.

My take is that Guilty Elixir is primarily an amalgamation of Ganymede and Reflection Man. The bone structure is from Ganymede: sweet juicy mandarin-osmanthus at the top, the smooth white suede accord in the middle and the signature base combining that forceful akigalawood and the metallic sclarene. The flesh is from Reflection: powdery neroli, animalic jasmine and the barbershop sweet coumarin. With that said, Guilty Elixir could be described either as leathery-woody Reflection or as white floral Ganymede, maybe leaning more towards the latter. Regarding the resemblance to Fleur du Male, Pegasus or Le Male, yes absolutely, all have the same powdery white floral idea as Reflection and therefore related to Guilty Elixir as well. I also want to mention that the combination of animalic jasmine and the suede accord reminded me of the long-lost Gucci EDP (2002), so fans of those should definitely check this out, Guilty Elixir is easily passable as unisex. Another great trick worth mentioning is the fruity-green pimento used here, which beautifully bridges the mandarin-osmanthus with the green floral barbershop notes, reminiscent of the pimento note used liberally in Xeryus Rouge. The only weird thing about the note pyramid is the claim of “patchouli overdose” when I barely smell any patchouli. In addition, as with Ganymede, Guidance, and his other creations, the synthethics Bisch uses in ample amounts are extraordinarily tenacious and prone to causing headache with prolonged exposure.

Overall, great quality stuff, a contemporary synthetic and multifaceted twist on the classic barbershop masculine white floral.

This is really good. Forget the rest, you only need this one and Absolute.

First off, is this similar to reflection 45? Yes, I'd say so, but it's not as flat. I actually think reflection 45 is overrated personally. The only good 'exceptional extrait' was interlude 53 (which I own).

The elixir is really nice, it's got that massive blast of orange blossom and orris, which lasts throughout the length of the perfume. The longevity and projection is really good on me, this will last until the next day.

I can see a lot of people talking about reflection man, which is a great perfume also, and yes it's similar to that too. However the issue with that perfume is the more recent batches are considerably weaker than the older ones so I wouldn't bother with it, just get this, there isn't a massive difference in terms of quality and this does feel very high quality.

Arsenal Till I Die

$220AUD for a 60ml and it smells in the same ball park as reflection man and le male. You might as well get reflection man 100ml if you are adamant about spending that much which you can find for $250ish AUD.

Qasim1229

Idk why but It smelled like a shoebox on a test strip

Ihaggins

This one is highly slept on. And I won’t gate keep, but I won’t be waking anyone up either. Most of my collection is dark and mysterious. This is about as light and versatile as I’m going to get. It’s good anytime, anywhere, any season, any reason. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s worth it in my opinion. It’s the only fragrance I have that does exactly what it does.

10/10 in every category except price.

Cocosette

Similar to JPG Fleur de Male but not as translucent and refined.

jakoblotta

Complex and enchanting. This is masterfully blended and beautifully ambiguous. Emotionally coherent and engaging experience. Main underlying character stems off of Orange Blossom and Benzoin. It’s of no importance to determine whether this perfume leans masculine or feminine, it is a fairy tale scent. 9/10

senad05

Very nice white floral scent. Smells very identical to Amouage Reflection with a little twist of Jean Paul Le Male.

It has a very strong sillage in my opinion. Masterpiece, but a bit pricey :)

Marxwick

In the opening, it is like a softer version of Pegasus. It is also interesting that Quentin is able to replicate it without almond and heliotrope.
During the drydown, however, the patchouli, vanilla, and osmanthus become more prominent, so the scent takes on a different direction.
The projection dies down after two hours.

Guilty Elixir de Parfum pour Homme

2023/24 is the year for Elixirs. It started from Sauvage and goes to PR, Boss, JPG, this Gucci and YSL Y upcoming. This is my 4th Elixir and follows the size of Dior.

Here's my mini 60ml bottle, looks cute. I've been eyeing this since it got announced but there wasn't any to test until it hit retail. Tested a spray each for the 2 times I visited Sephora Ion. 1st time was just ok I was focused on another scent. Found it has a uncommon scent profile. 2nd time it got better, it lasted really long on skin and it's not designish and distinguish itself from gourmand profiles. Then I realized this is Quentin Bisch's creation. Officially became my Wtb.

It retails for SGD$255 for a 60ml. Some resellers recently started listing them for around SGD$150+-. I grabbed it at SGD$100 from a reseller who started listing it for Sgd$110. Not too bad. I have 12 Gucci frags and 6 of them are under Gucci Guilty so this adds to my collection and it's the 7th G Guilty. And it's one of my favorite Perfumer work.

Ok down to the scent, I get the Orange blossom absolute, nutmeg and soft powdery orris butter at the opening. To be honest it does smells abit like a root beer ice cream float. There are similarities to some perfumes but what comes to mind is it's like a hybrid of reflection 45 and pegasus. It goes off in the direction of 45 while having the sorta metallic sweetness in pegasus and the vanilla of Bisch's work in Le male elixir. However if u blindfold me and ask me which perfumer's work this is I'll probably guess Bisch. Certainly doesn't smell and develop like a Designer frag and pretty unique and special if you look at it from a gourmand or niche scent profile. It doesn't project madly but it has very good longevity and last a long time on my skin. Personally I don't think it's for anyone or the masses but for Gucci Fans or Gucci Guilty collectors and supporters of Quentin Bisch. Its a good bottle to add to your collection if you can get it at what I got it for 100sgd/74usd.

Az-316

That’s not For men , it’s a feminine scent.. not for me , sweet amber white floral..

Fragrancee123

Not bad 4/5 is justified, but overpriced. Also bit feminine.

joshuabrian

Just smells like sweet tarts to me.

BennyB

This one keeps getting better and better. It works great for my skin. Over the last month it has been my most complimented frag out of my entire 100+ collection (designer & niche). I don’t look for complements, I spray on for my own enjoyment, but it does feel nice to get them, especially when you’re an average looking 40 y/o, lol. For a 60ml it’s a bit overpriced. But I would gladly pay its current retail price for a 100ml option if they ever came out with one.

Smooth, inviting, lasts days on clothes. All in all…a great buy.

Yannickcz

I tried three elixirs in the store today. Boss Scent, YSL Y and Gucci. Regarding YSL Y, I must first say that I have Y Live, Y EDP and Le Parfum in my collection. Elixir is not bad, but for the price it is a bit redundant for me considering that I have the mentioned three versions. Just the same DNA and very small differences, nothing special or different like for example Dior Sauvage Elixir in Sauvage line. As for The Scent, I've never been a big fan, so even Elixir didn't really impress me, but Gucci Elixir is my cup of tea. I absolutely love it, a very unique men's spicy floral fragrance. Masterpiece.

Dark Owl

I tried this today, very nice! It's different. Someone a few comments below mentioned root beer, I get a little of that or Dr Pepper, however it also reminds of Germolene cream/ointment but in a good way 😅

Interesting fragrance, the opening was surprisingly fresh, although that effect doesn't last too long. I'd definitely like to get a sample and try it properly. Finally I don't get the Le Mâle similarities.

leglesstoy

A bomb of mainstreamness is what I smelled.

Lola_Rene

Root Beer! I couldn't put my finger (nose) on it, but someone wrote it below and I realized that's what I was getting. Don't get me wrong, I like it--but that root beer scent is what makes it sort of unique. The weird thing is that it also reminds me of my L'Interdit by Givenchy. They both give me an icy cool, clean, root beer vibe.

Decant Addict

I sprayed a half a spray, the first spray out of a brand new bottle as you prime it. I be like, 'this is One Million Prive', then after a minute I be like 'nope, it's more like Boss Bottled Elixir'. Then, after another pause for contemplation, I be saying to myself 'nah, its Reflection Man'.
Then, my brain explodes and I wander off, blissed out, to go listen to some chill out music with my wrist glued to my face.
I frankly don't care what it smells like, it's amazing. It's going on my top 5 shelf

PocketGroove

So this one is a grower, not a shower.

On first sniff, I thought nope...nothing special here, why? ...because it doesn't punch you in the gonads to make a statement. It's not big, bold, spicy, demanding, or insistent. It's more cunning, rather than brash. Understated, not verbose. Intriguing, not overbearing. It's CIA subterfuge, the forgettable everyman who infiltrates unnoticed and dupes you...not the movie star James Bond spy you notice the second the walk in.

In a world of overly sweet, candy smelling fuckbois, flowery ass grandma unisex trash, and hyper spicy masculine boomers. This is different. It's olfactory espionage in a bottle.

Vanilla on top? No. It's cream.
Body? Medicinal/chemical on a test strip, but Root Beer Float on the skin.
The mystery? It's effervescent, almost artificial, but in a good way. Like opening a fresh piece of expensive technology from the shrink wrap and smelling that new Ipad smell that lasts but for a moment.

It's a win, but it won't be a seller. Too expensive and not explosive enough to draw in anyone but the enthusiast.

This has no business being marketed as Guilty. It draws you in. You keep smelling it, asking, "What the hell is this thing? Has it worn off? ...nope, it's still there...you lean in again and again...dumbfounded as to what EXACTLY is this thing???

Who the fuck cares...
Eventually, I gave up and just realized I love it.

bennettadams

You have to smell this. As a male that likes a more 'modern' scent profile this is my favorite scent EVER, as silly as that sounds.

I have Le Male Parfum, Le Male Elixir, & Reflection Man here with me after hearing the comparisons, and while there are similarities, Guilty Elixir is clearly different I just plain prefer it's scent both on the opening & dry down. Projection isn't important to me, but longevity is definitely solid. I smell it on my clothes for days, and I only ever spray 1 or 2 sprays max. I seriously can't get enough of the scent and it has become my signature.

zavi

I recently sold most of my collection because I want to make space for fragrances I genuinely love and will use frequently. After sampling Guilty Elixir I'm convinced this deserves to be one of those fragrances. It will be my first purchase come next fall.

Mark my words this will inevitably become super hyped once more people discover it. Incredible scent.

becham54

Amouage Reflection and PDM Pegasus smell like Gucci elixir when you spray them together :)) This is a perfect perfume by designer perfume standards.

hamnas

@Coola265

Agree with you 100%

Tony Shades

Seriously, where is this Le Male connection coming from? This fragrance is a revival of the 90s Italian aromatics like D&G Pour Homme, Moschino Uomo and Versace Dreamer. Le Male has too much vanilla sweetness to be put in the same basket with these.

joelbaby

Similar to jpg le male (original version), but more vanilla and creamy. Mass appealing.
Definitely not in the same league as Reflection Man which I have also worn a few times.
1 spray lasted 90 minutes with pleasant arms length sillage. After that it became a smooth vanilla skin scent.
Overspraying would have extended the lifespan. It's pleasant enough that you can get away with overspray.
Worth a try, but a little overpriced at full retail.

mauryji

age is completely irrelevant to me

heck the hell in 2024 we are still worried about stereotypes

let's modernize our mindset in wearing any perfume - at any time - at any age - I just try do this

btw this gucci is sooooooooo damn good

sorry to disappoint someone , the smell of my grandfather's furniture is not unpleasant at all

- I love my grandparents so much

that I get offended if anyone denigrates them

please excuse me

Sebowich86

This is a compliment monster, and a banger Perfume. Too bad the price is so high. But definitely a great perfume.

Milestone87

Bravo Quentin Bisch, im happy u tried something new here and didnt want to smell like all the other Gourmand perfumes.

Dt_vino

Really good stuff. Sampled in macys and had to pick up a bottle. It gives me reflection man/le male vibes but it does have its own identity. Very good performance for me. Not beast mode, but definitely up there. Get your nose on this if you’ve been disappointed by Gucci guilty in the past.

Unmodernize

The fragrance by hit-or-miss Bisch here is appalling, disgusting skanky old lady smell. Nothing like the great Le Male that has green minty freshness to balance the sweetness of vanilla.

Agreed also on below, I can’t even count how many niche I smelled that are surprisingly unbalanced. And many times they are putting out simple one-note concept scents and sell with fancy presentation and high pricing. They do tend to use more naturals and have higher oil concentration yes, but designers are often more well made and appealing.

Haito007

Deary me the humble brag & snobbery below is comical. 'Owning loads of Niche fragrances' should make you understand balance & fragrance objectives better.

'Basic' is such a throwaway blasè description. Ive smelt plenty of 'basic' niche fragrances. Some are absolutely fantastic some not so. Plenty of complex niche fragrances are superb but I have also smelt just as many overly complex mish mash niche scrubbers. The same applies for Designers.

A good fragrance is not just about complexity. It's more about balance.

You are entitled to your opinion and I disagree with it but that doesn't make me right or you wrong. Fragrance is subjective, thats its beauty. But it has nothing to do with you understanding more because you have "loads of niche fragrances" . Some people will enjoy the smell, others won't. It's that simple

Haito007

This is a sublime fragrance!. Definitely not what I was expecting. I am really impressed with Guilty Elixir.

I love and own Reflection Man so was intrigued to see how this one smelt considering alot of people have been comparing the two. When you smell them both side by side, they share a similar profile but they are not that close at all. The opening 15 minutes is as close as they get together.

Elixir then goes into a darker, rich spicier territory. If you want to simplify it. Its like adding Prada Luna Rossa Black to Reflection Man. It is majestic. Its very well blended. Elixir is powerful, it projects decently & lasts all day but it doesn't get screechy or overwhelming. It's creamy & rich but also stays a little bit zesty. The vanilla really is exceptional.

Guilty Elixir is more of a fall/winter fragrance than a summer one for sure. It will be a superb evening/date fragrance. It deserves to be dressed up. My wife loves it.

Downsides - price & small bottle option

Overall 8.5 out of 10. Very very good.

Hipno

With first sniff, my brain went "Le Male". They are not the same but Guilty Elixir is trying to emulate the same Le Male DNA with Gucci twist. Opening is spicy reminiscent of middle eastern soaps with some floral notes which adds to the soapiness which is not very pleasant to my nose. Drydown is pleasantly creamy and vanillic with impressive performance (lasted days on my jacket). I personally prefer Le Male over this or any other fragrance with similar DNA, it just has something that others like Guilty Elixir can't capture. I guess Le Male is not as outdated as some people say after all it is still inspiring new fragrances on the market.

Simply amazing! I have over 40 fragrances, this is now one of my top 5. It's pricey no doubt but the projection and longevity is outstanding. Over 12hrs of performance and I still get a whiff after 2 days of wearing it on my cloth. I just had to buy a back up bottle at a discount price. Its worth every penny IMO

Not a review but very much disturbs me when ever people on the forum say a scent is soapy I personally don’t want to smell of soap so it turns me away from the scent

bljczmln

Floral & citrusy opening with hint of spices and nuts, bit soapy too. Beautiful dry down with a heavy creamy vanilla note but not in a gourmand way. Insane performance, prominent for well over 8 hours & i can still smell it on my skin over 24 hours later. Also a compliment magnet, almost all my coworkers said it so good. Yes it is overpiced a bit but the quality and performance is there so that at least maked up for that.

disturbingandpurging

The first waft of this fragrance resembled a less complex version of Amouage's Reflection, which was beautiful. I hoped that would have lasted, but within half an hour it had dried down to a metallic and weak likeness to Initio's Paragon.

This is an intriguing fragrance initially, but the dry-down is quite off-putting to me.

Gucci’s bringing out their best game here. Guilty Elixir opens with a floral, soapy accord that brings with it an immediate feeling of tranquility. It’s like feeling dapper in springtime with an extra pep in your step. Vanilla is present as a backbone from this beginning, adding a creamy facet that feels rich in the air. True to the color of the bottle, there’s also a green element that keeps Guilty Elixir feeling masculine in a polished way. It’s herbal, sometimes bordering on vegetal pungency. If that does not sound appealing, rest assured these spheres come together for a refreshing whole that does a lot to differentiate itself from the assorted blue and iris-focused fragrances that have been all the rage of late.

Yet those elements are present in Guilty Elixir too. Iris makes an appearance in the mid and adds gravitas to the orange blossom while there is definitely an undercurrent of ambroxan-y amber late in the game. That, however, is accompanied by a very light, tasteful leather accord which gives Guilty Elixir a stronger foundation. It’s been too long since I’ve smelled Reflection Man, so I’ll hesitate to make the popular comparison. However, from what I recall, this Gucci remains much more palatable to mainstream trends while still skewing to the left of the dial.

Performance I find really good here, with the fragrance lasting on me throughout the day with just a couple sprays. I also can’t help but find Guilty Elixir to be “cologne-y” in the best possible way. It reminds me of smelling a man’s fragrance as a child and thinking the wearer must be successful and sophisticated, the type of man who values a manicure. I’ll repeat the word “dapper” here as it fits like a glove. I’d even go so far as to call Guilty Elixir rakish as it can provoke a sly, mischievous smile. While things can get a bit garbled in the late dry down with ambroxan, florals and green elements all vying for attention, overall, Guilty Elixir is an excellent mash up of old and new sensibilities.

becham54

I sprayed this perfume on my wrist and it stayed for two days, it smells great, it reminds me of PDM Pegasus.

andrewg

This one completely changed for me. First time I tried at Macys I came away disappointed, wasn’t that memorable and smelled cheap. After actually spraying on my body and testing it out I can say this is a lot better. It has a fancy vanilla soap vibe to it. To the novice nose in the air this will smell like Eros. This is like brothers to Eros. Doesn’t smell the same but in the same family. It’s a pass for me, there are better vanilla forward fragrances like Prada Black, Eros, etc. Save your money.

Okay so let me get this straight, upon release I went to smell this and I wasn’t a fan. Maybe I was nose blind or whatever but I wasn’t feeling it. I didn’t notice the beast mode performance, it just was not working for me at the time.

About 1-2 months later roughly, I went and tried it again but this time I also applied on my jacket as well as my wrist. Still wasn’t a fan of it. A week later I was at university and I was getting whiffs of something, not sure what it was or whether it was me. But turns out I LOVED HOW IT SMELT, especially on my clothes. It was potent and very clear to my nose. I bought a bottle back in dec2023 and this stuff is beast mode, outlasts my Dior elixir. Picking up another bottle today, definitely a beast, I judged to early.

YOU WONT REGRET IT

Give it time !!

It’s Prada L’Homme/ evoke him gold but with a dose of lavender.

PULPUL75

amazing scent with very good Projection and silage that what I really want unique scent that I haven’t in my collection this I do need something even though many have said it is like REFLICTION From Amwaj that I never have So this so charm and for me is signature thanx gucci 😘

Dirtyhoody

Sorry if this bursts your bubble but this is not like amouage reflection. It's not a bad fragrance but it's price tag is ludicrous. Save your money and just get reflection at a discounter, they're nearly identically priced if not in scent.

donpavlovic

stfu, i have pegasus, nothing same, girlfriend said this is best of all I have

Jqwalls

Finally got to sample this one. The easiest way to explain this for normal fragrance folks who don’t own tons of niche fragrances is a way stronger and way more complex and floral version of Eros edt ON THE DRY DOWN. They are both very unique fragrances on the top but spray them both on a card and smell them in 5 hours and they have very similar scents. I guess it’s the vanilla. Eros is MUCH weaker however. Anyway this is a really wonderful and sweet fragrance and it is super strong far stronger than Eros edt. Being that the fragrance is so strong I suppose it is worth the price but personally I couldn’t pay over $130 for this. If the value proposition was better I’d rate it higher but it’s still a solid 8/10.

On paper this reminds me of Le Male Essence de Parfum, although I can't compare them side by side, since I no longer have that perfume - stupid me for letting that one go!
I'd say that Gucci Elixir goes straight to their common olfactive core, skipping the sweet liqeur effect that Le Male gave me in the opening. Gucci is also more leathery than Le Male Essence, which was more creamy, sweet and vanillic.
As it dries down, I definitely get why people listed Reflection by Amouage as reminders to this perfume, but for me the vibe of Elixir goes more in Le Male Essence direction.

I like Gucci Elixir very much, and I'll definitely consider getting it.

Edit: I re-aquired a bottle of Le malle Essence and I confirm the above memtioned similarities. However, contrary to what I said, Guilty Elixir is more linear and preserves the qualities found in Le Male's opening throughout the wearing, wheras Le Male dries down to something creamier, more gentle and complex.
Retesting Guilty Elixir, I also confirm its reminders to Amouage Reflection and P. de Marly Pegasus.

In conclusion, for me Guilty Elixir positions itself at the intersection of those 3 other offerings as a leathery, floral, powdery scent.

kobiAmr

Brings back memories of the OG Gaultier2 , smells really similar, liked it.

Dom852

I don't normally take any notice as to what people on here say how a fragrance smells, as its usually wildly like inaccurate to what I smell. But this opens with Amouage's Reflection Man and very quickly (within a minute or two) becomes PDM Pegasus, it's that simple.

As I own both I can't see any place for this in my collection and would only recommend this yo anyone looking to add Pegasus to their collection.
I've not sampled the longevity on the revised pil concentration of pegasus so given the similar cost per ml this could be the ideal alternative if its not up to scratch.

MattRotar

You know, I almost feel like this fragrance found me not me it. Me and my girlfriend decided, we’ll get each other fragrances as gifts this holiday season. I decided on Elysium, which ive been wanting to get for a very long time, but never did get and she decided on Instant Crush. Than one day we went to the store and I saw this fragrance. I remembered George (YouTuber) talking about it and he said its reminiscent of Reflection man, but smoothened out with vanilla. So i was like ok im gonna spray it on, I did while we where leaving and didn’t smell it right away, because I definitively remember eating a pretzel (lol), when I finally did smell it, I was so surprised this smell I was smelling was coming from a designer house. Spicy, slightly fresh, smooth woods smashed with some of the best smelling vanilla I’ve smelt. I think Gentle Fluidity Gold is also a great vanilla, but this to me in the drydown smells like youre eating an amazing vanilla ice cream on a beach. You’re smelling the trees around you and the summer breeze…Absolutely Outstanding… I was back to the store 4 times to wear this and in the end chose it over Elysium. Now lets compare it to Reflection man. I have tried Reflection before, really wanted to make it my signature, because the iris and overall floral nature of the fragrance really spoke to me. Only problem was, that it went so sharp on my skin it started giving me headaches. This has that same powdery iris, along with the fresh like spices, but it doesn’t go sharp, the vanilla rounds up the whole story, making it so much more enjoyable for me. You might think that the vanilla will take away some of the versatility, … I would disagree. I think this is still perfectly wearable in all seasons. This fragrance man… all im gonna say is that ever since I’ve gotten it my other fragrances, have been getting a lot less wear because I wear it so much. That spicy, yet fresh opening that fades into the vanilla, but still retains the iris… ahh outstanding this to me is a bonafide 10 and my signature scent I’ve been searching for.

10/10

jlog23

Definitely get a resemblance of reflection man but reflection blows this out of the water in every category. It’s not bad smelling by any means, there’s just something I’m not vibing with in this. Heck, you can find reflection on discounters for just about the same price as the gucci. I’d recommend reflection over this all day long.

Salohcin2148

First impressions, this is like reflection man with a leathery vibe on my skin. Since Im not the biggest leather fan it kills this for me. Where other facets may shine on other people, the leather is what Im getting a lot of in the opening. I also get a slight bit of molecule synthetic nuance but the perfumer is known for using these compounds to beef up scents. If my skin didn't highlight a leather vibe Id like this a lot more.

Update: The leathery nuance went away after a few hours and I'm left with something very close to reflection man on my skin. It's good so far but nothing new or exciting in my opinion. I have a few wears left in my decant and this has the potential to change my mind. I will drop an updated review after a few more wears.

If you own reflection man or are familiar I would still recommend sampling this. On the flip side I don't think it's a must have at this point as this DNA is already out there.

rockygoblin

i love it its by far my favorite fragnance in my collection

intiek

Creamy and smooth vanilla, a bit floral but in a classy way that balances out the rest of the notes, this still definitely leans masculine. The nutmeg sweeps in and brings some nutty warmth. Beautiful scent, I bought a bottle in a slightly impulsive way even though I didn't personally find it my cup of tea at first. But every time I wear it it gets better and better. Sophisticated but not boring, definitely a little playful and interesting. Performance is incredible, lasts 14 hours for me, projects for several hours strongly. If you can find it for a good deal (I got a discount) it's a definite strong recommendation, however it's not blind buy safe, so sample it before on your skin. Gucci struck gold with this one, which is unusual for them, let's try to keep this one under the radar for a bit LOL.

simpa256

This is like a mash of Reflection man and some Code Profumo with a pinch of od Le Male once it dries down. Smooth as hell vanilla with a touch of white floral freshness that gives this fragrace such a class. Niche level smell, throught and through. If this only had 100ml bottle, fot the current price, it would be great but for 60ml only... no way in hell. I got 150ml BdC Parfum for less. Lasts a long time, easil over 12 hours. I would still get Reflection man but this only gets a bump up because of the beast mode performance. A few spras on tester strip fills up a room. Get it now because fragrance this good and strong is only screaming for reformulation.

laflame6

Tested it today at the mall since it got a lot of hype here and on youtube. I can say that it’s a great release, it’s worth the hype and I’m definitely picking up a bottle. I haven’t smelled Reflection, so I can’t speak about similarities with it, but to me it definitely has similarities in the background with MAB Ganymede, which is also made by Quentin Bisch. To me it’s basically Ganymede but made sexy and easy to wear. Amazing performance also, definitely worth trying at least

Coola265

@tupacamarushakur
😉 Team Gatekeep 100% mein lips are sealed.
Gonna grab a few bottles of this as well before the inevitable reformulations hit. By far the best elixir release aside from Sauvage elixir. The others don't come close. Going out and buying my first bottle of it today. University starts on Jan 2nd for me. I'm gonna be the best smelling person in the room, I'm sure I'll get some nasty comments with this room filler lolol but reactions are always entertaining. The shit some people come up with on the spot for frags they hate 😂
Walked into uni to get info on my classes a couple weeks ago and forgot I had like 3-4 sprays of Sauvage elixir on in a tiny office. I guarantee I was choking out my teachers. I'll have to take it easy as to not be a douche.

At the beginning of October I was on a tour of beautiful Italy🇮🇹, and today I want to share with you some of my latest experiences. During my stay in Milan, I had the opportunity to explore Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the oldest shopping gallery in Italy, a four-story arcade that is a veritable treasure trove of perfumes. I spent hours researching new fragrances and I want to introduce you to a special perfume.

It is about the perfume Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum pour homme, the work of the creator Quentin Bisch, who started his career in 2010 with Reminiscence Essence EDP, as well as the creator, the famous French perfumer Natalie Gracia-Cetto, who comes from Grasse, the world center of perfumes , and the winner of numerous prestigious awards (e.g. in 2004. Fifi award in the Luxe category, 2005. Women's Nouveau Niche...)

This perfume is part of the Gucci Guilty collection, which saw the light of day back in 2010. In the top notes you will find orange blossom, nutmeg and coriander. Middle notes reveal orange blossom, orris root and osmanthus, while base notes are dominated by ambrofix, benzoin, vanilla and patchouli.

It could be said that this perfume shares some similarities with other perfumes such as Amouage Reflection Man, Parfums de Marly Pegasus, JPG Le Male, and somewhat with TF Ombre Leather. However, luckily (at least in my opinion) there are no similarities to other perfumes from the Guilty collection. What particularly surprised me about this perfume is that moment, when you smell one of the latest creations and you feel as if you are smelling a vintage perfume. It really has that classy smell, which is very masculine.
As for the fragrance itself, it opens with earthy tones, while the orange blossom adds a sweet note that is not too citrusy and fresh, but pleasantly sweet. Orris gives it a powdery character, while vanilla and benzoin contribute to a soft leather feel that rounds out the entire composition.
Although there is no mention of tonka bean in the notes, I think there is a hint of bitter tonka smell.

ImDoggfather

I smelled this on a buddy at a Christmas party and basically at first whiff I knew I had to have it. This is by far the best of all of the Elixirs to come out in the last 2 years. This fragrance opens up being strikingly similar to Reflection Man with a nice floral semi fruity blast that lasts almost into the deep drydown where The vanilla comes in and becomes one of the smoothest fragrances I've put to my nose.

@Coola265

You're absolutely right, we need to keep our mouths shut and gate keep this jewel. I was asking that TJ guy on tik tok to do a review on this one but I regret it. From now on my mouth is shut. Truly a masterpiece.

Coola265

Everybody better keep their mouths shut about this one, DO NOT TELL these shill YouTubers to review this. If we can manage to keep this a secret we can smell fantastic and unique for a great price. I'm sick of people catching on and then never being able to find it at your local stores like the overrated JPG Le Male elixir. It's always out of stock. Why would you want to smell like literally everybody else? I won't be buying that anytime soon.

Tripokaridos

This and Sauvage Elixir are the most powerful perfumes I have ever use , it Reminds me the good old days 20 years back when perfumes had quality and power.

Manny44

omg this so good. I just had to say that again. Has nothing in common with any other Guilty fragrance. Where did Gucci
come up with this one? Higher quality and so different from anything they've ever made. Massive props to Quentin Bisch.

Jewelpaq

I sprayed on my neck when visiting Nordstrom & it was so good with the dry down that I hunted on the internet to try & obtain a bottle at none retail price. At this stage it is nearly impossible. I did manage to get a 20% off coupon with Ulta, so I ordered online & picked up from my local store.
In my opinion, this is like a cousin to Reflection Man by Amouage, but this Gucci does beat it. I like the spice that the Gucci has. This is a great long lasting fragrance and will last similar amount of time in comparison the the vintage Reflection Man.
I am extremely happy with my purchase & when it is available at discounted rate, I shall buy a backup bottle, just in case this gets reformulated in the near future. 10/10 fragrance here, in my opinion.

Awesome fragrance! I'd say the best men's release from a Designer house in 2023. Quentin Bisch does it again, the man is a solidified allstar now.
I recommend buying this as soon as you can because I see a reformulation coming. We aren't allowed to have fragrances last more than 3 hours now, in which this one lasts a solid 10 hours, phenomenal performance.

This stuff is highly addictive. I need a bigger bottle x2. I’ve never smelled Reflection Man, but I can attest to it having common threads with PDM Pegasus. I’ve been wearing it for the last week. After thoroughly enjoying it and even getting the nod of approval from my wife - who only likes 2 out 10 fragrances on average - as of 12/23 I believe this one is currently underrated. I will absolutely be purchasing a backup bottle or two.

amazing

smelled it seconds after hitting the tester card and reeled
full exhale and gave it another chance
ended up having it sprayed on my wrist
addicted to smelling it for the rest of the day (8+ hours)

Pegasus and Reflection mix in a simple and synthetic way

Dolce Gabbana Enthusiast

This is like a mix of reflection man and Le Male. Its floraly with a subtle vanilla base, it also has a powdery amber aspect through the benzoin but it is very subtle. The orris here is pretty prominent and smells kinda earthy but smooth.
It's pretty good but missing that little something for me to rate it an 8.
7.5/10

reasonablenose

If you love Reflection Man by Amouage, GET THIS. I'm not going to try to convince you which one is better, because if you truly love reflection man, it's not going to matter. I love both. 10/10. Masterpiece.

RawSmells

Just received this today, have been wearing it for a few hours, had little faith in it being anything worth having, but opened it nonetheless and quite happy I did! I can relate to the likening of this to Le Male, Pegasus and to Dior's Poison, I can also understand why it's likened to Joop, although I wouldn't say it smells the same, but kinda plays in the same sandpit, and as far as Creed's Original Santal, well that's one of my favourite frags, and I liken that a bit to Joop if that makes sense, but I can't see the similarity here, unless you take the Joop route :)

This is a very linear fragrance, and nothing wrong with that, what you spray is what you more or less get for the duration or cycle of this fragrance. It is not groundbreaking but its delightful and very versatile in any season at any time to almost any occasion, so I can't see it as being as restricted as say Joop, Le Male, Pegasus or Poison, it kinda sits on the fence to all of the aforementioned. I personally feel I can smell slight likeness to the dry down of Penhaligon's Tragedy of Lord George and to Initio's High Frequency, both of which I also like, and have in my collection. If you like all or any of the aforementioned I can't see anyone not liking this, it's easygoing, a nice refreshing yet has depth to it kinda fragrance, I think it's beauty is in the fact it ticks loads of boxes at once.

Blind buy safe? Yup, I did and no regrets.
Versatile? all occasions, all ages, all weather
FB worthy? totally, but not at RRP.
Recommended, 100% unless you own Tragedy of Lord George, ironically it's the only frag out of the lot that I can see being redundant if you own, even though I added it to the "reminds me of" listing and no one else has added to it :)

Enjoy and God bless :)

DariaFrancesca74

Perfumer noses Nathalie Cetto and Quentin Bisch created this pleasant fragrance for Gucci with very bold, exhilarating and sensual elements such as: ambrofix, benzoin which infuses the fragrance with depth and magnetism and the reassuring note of vanillin, harmoniously amplified by a thunderous triumph of fine Patchouli and enriched by a noble heart of Iris butter, fresh orange blossom and voluptuous osmanthus. The blend is enriched with lively notes of peppery allspice and warm spices of nutmeg. A fragrance that is loved but above all remembered.

dvndy

A fantastic fragrance, love it, absolutely mesmerizing.
It doesn't smell at all like Reflection Man. It has similarities to Pegasus though.

DDMB1999

This smells exactly like a lovechild between YSL MYSLF and The Most Wanted Parfum. Enjoyable but expensive

PrincipeFilip

Better version of amouage reflection man, with added vanilla and toned down white florals. Longevity is forever and projection strong for the first 3-4h. If you can not find reflection man batch before 2020 just go for this fragrance. Its way better. Price is very high unfortunately

goody123

This is just fantastic compliment getter ..great projection!! Too damn expensive though for the size ..smells like Amouage reflection man 45 to my nose

Yigit001

Stop likening every Bisch creation to Ganymede. No it doesn't have any resemblance to Ganymede

BGBG

More versatile version of Ganymede.

psarogen

This a serious compliment magnet. First time i wore it to work today and had 2 female collegues get obssesed over it.

House Adams

This is nice… Beautiful white florals made masculine with some slightly spicy accords and a touch of a sweet resinous feel that really makes this nice.

I do get a slight hint of something akin to the original dna.. or maybe something that resembles the edp.. Something a touch warmer and more ambery then the original edt dna..

I do like it…. BUT.

As pointed out… Very similar to something along the lines of Reflection Man by Amouage. GGE is probably a touch warmer… still very similar.

I imagine this will end up being a much better price once it’s been on the discounter sites for a while. But right now.. For essentially the same price. You can get a 100ml bottle of Reflection Man as opposed to a 60ml bottle of GGE.

These designer prices are getting ridiculous.

Loco-joco

The amount of compliments I’ve had wearing this in the last two weeks has been ridiculous! The same sort of reactions I got to my very first bottle of Creed Aventus way back when, with women stopping me on the street to ask me what I’m wearing. Crazy strong with supernatural projection, this will not let you down - up there with Le Male Elixir for best frag of 2023. Sex in a bottle!

olimpvt

Gucci Guilty Elixir oooh it's like nuclear energy! An incredible projection that does not decrease, in fact it increases, it expands. Vibrations of green scent offer an aromatic journey in a perfume pyramid. A contender for a confident, kind and charismatic man.

ThatMakesScents

Modern take on an old fav the Italian Colonia . Very beautiful and elegant . I would definitely wear this but $180 for 60ml is BS.

$180 for 100ml or 125ml I would buy.

AP Riyadh

To me the start smells like very similar to Reflection Man but with more gravitas. At dry down stage there is also Pegasus profile sneaking through. Overall pleasant and worth exploring if you like Pegasus and Reflection type genre. Similar performance as Reflection Man and lower performance than Pegasus. Office safe! Leaning more on masculine side. Shukran Habibi!

SimenR

This is “Reflection 35” to my nose. Reflection is fresher/lighter and Reflection 45 is more heavy/dense. OG Reflection is my favorite of the three.

TheSniffer

First, can we talk about that bottle? I don’t know why ‘Shrek Green’ was the colour of choice for what’s supposed to be an exciting ‘Elixir’ fragrance. 😂 To each their own but it’s not my personal cup of tea…

As for the scent - If someone wore this around me and didn’t tell me what it was I would 100% think it was just Reflection Man. I’m sure compared 1/1 up close skin there will be small differences, but honestly in the air I’d say they’d smell basically the same to 99% of non-fragheads.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a classic and hugely popular DNA (one of the most popular niche scents ever) so anyone who hasn’t tried the original is bound to love it - and considering it’s half the price of the original (per bottle not per ml) it’s not a bad proposition if that’s the DNA you are after… however it’s still expensive for a designer scent and I’m sure you can get good Reflection Man dupes out there for way cheaper than this if that’s all you’re looking for.

The performance is alright off my skin (moderate sillage, great longevity) but nothing “beast mode” and nowhere even remotely close to the nuclear weapon that is Sauvage Elixir, nor even as strong as my decant of Reflection Man.

So yeh, I don’t know what to say really. At least Sauvage Elixir gave us a bit of a unique twist on things - this scent obviously smells great, but it feels too similar to Reflection Man for it to really excite me. 😅

TupacAmaruShakur

This is high quality. I like it, unique. Gucci did exactly what Chanel did with Allure Homme Sport when they later created Allure Homme Sport Extreme.

Gucci Guilty = Allure Homme Sport
Gucci Guilty Elixir = Allure Homme Sport Extreme

Yeah, Gucci guilty reminds me of AHS and Gucci guilty Elixir reminds me of AHSE but a sweeter version.

Edit: Omg this is strong, Dior Sauvage level easily. 1-2 sprays max, otherwise you be suffocating ppl around you. I ain't even mad at the price right now, amazing quality.

Edit 2: to much hate on this one, I need to purchase backup bottles, this stuffs amazing, I'm getting so much compliments from women.

Irvdaman15$

This is a very floral vanilla that goes very much in the direction of a jean Paul Gautier.
I think it's a little heavy on the floral, but the drydown is a nice spiced orange blossom with a nice sweetness to it.
8/10. Somewhat strong so go light on the sprays.

sonny35

Doesn't smell like reflection man or Pegasus. Smells more like Prada paradoxe. Absolute overdose of nostril stinging orange blossom and benzoin.

Timyoungn304

I think I wrote something on this before but here goes again… I’m shocked at how many people actually like this scent. This is F’n gross! Never smelled reflection man, so I can’t speak on the comparison, but if it does I don’t see why so many people like and spent their hard earned money on these.

diego.lesgart

Pleaseee!!! Gucci family: stop of flankers!!!! coming back with the icons and fragance of cult! Envy, No. III, L Art, Nobile...

Vapidcucumber

Absolutely disgusting scent. It smells like an old people’s home and oil- for this to be a Guilty flanker is a disgrace to the name. Such a shame as I was hoping for a stronger version of the Guilty DNA which is a lovely scent- one of the worst scents I’ve ever had the misfortune of smelling.

Heinrich_B

The first thing that came to mind for me, was Joop!, Homme not Reflection Man. I have to Say, that i used Joop! and Reflection basically at the same time, around 2011, so i am talking about some older versions of those.

But Gucci Elixir, like all the other fragrances that are on the market right now, have something similar, very obxonsious about them...a smell, a similar vibe, like a sweet smoke undertone of some sort...maybe from the fixation compounds or Something....so, basically, this is Joop! with that modern crapy fixation compounds smell...

Elixir has potential, yet i will never ever buy It.

basicfragdude

This is 80% Pegasus 20% reflection man.

DiscoL

Disgusting for me. Opening smells like old grandma leather sofas and when you walk into Deichmann or Mass shoe store. Big no for me.

psarogen

Do you think you could wear this at a summer night event?

jmac25

I just remembered what this reminded me of. This fragrance is a dead ringer for original santal!

Perfect Shot

First impression: Great fragrance, really like it. But the price is excessive. It reminds me to Reflection 45 and normal one (i own 45), but greener, less fresh. More dense than regular Reflection, less dense than Reflection 45.

It is a great fragrance but it pales compared to either of the Reflections. I'd take either instead of this.

This is more expensive per ml than the regular Reflection which makes this fragrance pointless to buy. Great fragrance but not worth the price given the alternatives, which is a shame because it is a really really good fragrance.

If this fragrance was around 100-130 USD for 100ml it would be worth buying to have a cheaper alternative to Reflection when i don't want to use the expensive version.

EDIT: After more extensive testing now not only on paper but also on skin: projection is very powerful. But on skin the smell is much greener and less fresh than Reflection man. It has a pungent background smell that is not pleasing. And the floral part is way weaker. Now it got even farther away from Reflection. Not worth buying. Now i think i wouldnt even pay the price mentioned earlier. Maybe for 50 USD for 100ml would be a fair price.

jmac25

I created an account after many years of browsing, just to review this!

Although compared to Le Male/Reflection it can come across as quite mass appealing/generic/safe/done before but in my honest opinion this is a masterpiece. Up there with my some of my favs like Naxos//Royal Oud/Black Phantom/Grand Soir/Oud For Greatness...

I sprayed this on earlier today around 10 hours ago and it's still going strong with a very peppery, woody floral drydown. I don't get the comparison to Pegasus as it's no where near as sweet. This to me resembles more Reflection 45. I cannot stop smelling my wrist. I also get reminded a tiny bit of Polo Green in here as well, like a nostalgic feel of what your dad would wear in the late 90's.

Bottle colour and price aside, i'm in love with it. Some fragrances just give me that buzz and this is one of them!

Hunia

This is Reflection Man on the strongest steroids possible. This is like nuclear power :D

PourNez

artificial, persistent, nauseating

Tripokaridos

After long time of use , I have to say really good quality, very long lasting, very big projection.

ismellsomething

Just tested it, and I can confirm it reminds me of Reflection 45.

Very similar to Reflection for man from Amouage with better performance. It stays on skin 12h+. The main difference is it have more depth/density than Reflection. Think it's from little heavier oil % concentration in Gucci elixir. Personally I love better Reflection's more bright scent.
Price for 60ml is very hostile. If bottle is 100ml,price would be about $250. Really Gucci?

Sauvarghhh

Subjective opinion and experience of this perfume.

White floral, root beer, artificial, persistent, nauseating. A friend who I met after testing this asked me to wash it off. My girlfriend laughed at this as I introduced this to her in a department store.

But we wear perfume strictly for ourselves, right, so who cares what others say? Personally I managed to stand this for 30min; Initially rather pleasant, but soon grating and nauseating. It is different from the usual designer offerings and in a way a bit daring, so on a positive note, kudos to Gucci for trying something different.

I’m happy for anyone who enjoys this, but am truly hoping this won’t become a parfum du jour all around like BR540.

Neil4Speed

This is a very impressive release by Gucci. I definitely understand the comparisons to reflection, on the top notes though I get lots of balsamic. This is definitely not a mainstream crowd pleaser type of fragrance although my wife did quite like it. I understand the price points quite high so it's one of those fragrances you need to think about and definitely demo a fair bit.

I definitely applaud Gucci on this release

Scentologist11

Gucci perfumes are simply special in today's mainstream perfume world - because they have balls!

Most of their releases are rarely generic and fragrance-safe!
They always choose their own path and define a target group!
This can sometimes cost them a little less sales - as general customers who are not in this world simply have a harder time choosing such a profile!

I can't see any similarity with Amouage Reflection and Pdm Pegasus!

+Very strong and durable perfume
+Nice scent profile
+It lasts a very long time on the clothes

-The name and price are similar to Dior Elixir
-Probably not an everyday modern scent profile

Zanerkand

This is of the highest quality.

It is incredibly expensive so I recommend testing and not blind buying.

But I've come to the realisation in my fragrance journey that you only need 4 or 5 for a fully rounded collection anyway; so make sure they're all excellent.

Phenomenal longevity. It's warm and luxurious and genuinely unique. Floral, spicy and dare I say cola vibes.

Wow.

DarthFragrance

I gave this a bad review before, but it was after I had sprayed it on a test strip at Dillard's and took it home with me. I sprayed it on my skin last night and it's an entirely different story. Tester strips don't do this fragrance justice, it needs to be sprayed on skin. It does give me Pegasus vibes, but it has prominent spicy accords and a minty freshness reminiscent of peppermint. I also own Pegasus and it's not at all redundant to own both. It smells really high quality and it's long lasting. It develops really nicely on the skin going through many stages. It's hard to decide which part is my favorite, the opening, mid, dry down or far dry down. That's when I knew I needed it, and I just bought a full bottle.

Performance is strong. I got some of this on my shirt and it stained it with its highly concentrated oil. I got most of the stain out with 2 wash cycles, but the scent remains and the scent is still strong. After the 2 wash cycles, I wore the same shirt again but wore a different scent, and Guilty Elixir was still overpowering it. I think this is equally as strong as Sauvage Elixir. I would recommend only spraying skin with Guilty Elixir.

I just bought 2 backup bottles just in case they ever reformulate this masterpiece.

Osfrisi

The thing with Gucci Elixir is that it has an unbeatable performance, is heavy sweet floral – musky, opens with amber and leathery notes, and is sensual and enriched with vanilla–nutmeg, but it doesn’t change so much, which is annoying. It has nothing to do with Reflection Man, which is way more pleasant to wear.

Gucci Elixir is not versatile, is a pure cold-weather scent for very specific occasions. The price, also considering the bottle and presentation, is too high. Finally, it doesn’t scream masculinity. I had to wash it off my hand.

VolatileTimes

I am probably echoing other reviews but : one day + shower after one spray, this thing is still beating. Considering that this is an heavy, heady, sweet floral + musk and butter, and a very linear one, it is kind of unique in the contemporary mainstream. I see where the comparison with Pegasus comes from but apart from having different notes they have a completely different feeling, like day and night. This is bright, while Pegasus brings that cold misterious haze, which is its own dimension only. Same for Le Male which is darker and more versatile. Also, I find the standard Guccy Guilties more refined and interesting, with the slight touch of sour, but performance wise, this is unbeatable. Definitely a try before you buy

Tripokaridos

Now that the price is 110euro in my opinion worth every penny... It compines something niche but also mass appealing. Honestly I never thought I would like a scent with blossoms so much.

Cooling321

I don’t like orange blossoms usually but this is tolerable.
The power is INSANELY good.

kerolos

Beautiful scent with amazing performance. Dare i say one of the best releases this year.

I get a mix of Amouage Reflection man and PDM Pegasus. white flowers, vanilla and clean musk.

Still a bit expensive but worth it.

reasonablenose

I absolutely love this. Yes, it gives off Reflection Man vibes. Reflection Man and Lyric Man are the only two fragrances that literally made me cry because of how beautiful it is (I'm a guy lol). It's not overly "masculine" and not overly "feminine", it's straight down the middle and BEAUTIFUL. I would never wear a feminine fragrance, guys trust me.

DEDMAR

Interesting that here Quentin managed to get closer to the Le Male DNA than with Le Male Elixir 😀

gogerix

Finally got to try it. I can see the comparison to Pegasus in the drydown, though overall this is a different scent. It's unique in the world of designer perfumes at the moment, which makes it that much more interesting. I wouldn't dare to characterize it though, as I've nothing to compare it to. It's good enough and gives off a luxurious vibe a la Sauvage Elixir, but the price point, same as with the aforementioned Dior, is just ridiculous.

Siprian85

Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum Pour Homme is an expression of a strong, sensual, and refined personality. It's an intense and sophisticated reinterpretation of the original Guilty fragrance, designed to create a captivating and memorable olfactory experience. The fragrance opens with an intriguing blend of amber and leather notes, which give it a warm, sensual, and mysterious opening. At its heart, you'll find patchouli, an emblematic ingredient in the Gucci Guilty line, presented here in a higher concentration, enhancing the depth and character of the fragrance. The olfactory bouquet is enriched with vanilla extract and iris butter, adding a sweet and warm note. The fragrance finishes with smoky accents of nutmeg, introducing an intriguing and masculine element. Ambrofix, a revitalizing ingredient, contributes to the intensity and longevity of the fragrance. Base notes of benzoin enrich the perfume with depth and magnetism.

Probably the best Designer’s release of the year(2023)

Dirtyhoody

I haven't smelled it but I can't imagine it being worth $183 for 60ml. At that price the bottle should be able to tuck me in and read me a story every night.

LukeStarbuck

Wow! This smells divine. Very powerful but soft. The notes compliment each other perfectly. This is definitely for the confident, suave and charismatic man. Might be a contender for my most favourite perfume

Jmiles

It undoubtedly smells like a root beer float to me. This stuff lasts guys. I sprayed this on a zip up sweatshirt last week and put the sweatshirt back on today and it’s still very noticeable 😳

buonobi

Just received the sample from Guccibeauty.
This one is so sexy, men please check this out. Would like to smell this on men.
White floral provides the freshness and allure , quite a unisex scent.
Not summery or wintery, perfect all-year-round. Solid LIKE.
Sadly it's so pricy for 60ml. May buy it for myself if found a discount.

slim0121

I have a 1.5ml sample. Smells very nice & the performance is incredible on my skin. Checked the price and it is VERY pricey at the moment, with it being a new release.

benniblanco

I got a tester when I bought another fragrance. As I am not a fan of the Gucci Guilty line, and when I saw the green color, I though this could never be anything for me. I tried it in my arm, and was pretty turned off at first, and a fragrance on the other arm. Maybe some of you had the same experience with other fragrances, I smelled it in the air all the time, I couldn't tell which fragrance it is, but is was lying beautifully in my nose.

Finally, I figured out that it was Gucci Elixir. And this stuff gets better and better in the drydown, I fell in love with it. The jacket I was wearing when I sprayed it more than one week ago still smells like it, and I have the beautiful smell in my nose when I wear it. This stuff is nuclear.

There are a lot of similarities with Reflection Man, but it is fresher. I have compared it directly with Pegasus, buth they are quiet different in my nose.

This is the best release in my opinion this year, even better than Le Male Elixir (not a comparison, very different), although I love it too. What can I say, I have bought it, and also 2 backup bottles. Long time ago that I fell in love with a fragrance like this, the last time was with Carlisle.

Fazh97

Imagine a really expensive bubblegum or icecream flavour, that's what I'm getting. Very much unisex white florals, with soft spices on the edge, and a bubblegum sweetness. I'm usually against that kind of sweetness, here it's kind of a maturer take on generic stuff in this line. Very smooth and a little weird and eccentric. I don't think I'd pay the current price for this but I'd consider it when it becomes cheaper.

Performance is also solid, its a subtle scent but projects well.

Cultivation420

It's a decent scent. For me, it is the price point that is the real turn off. This isn't on par with Sauvage Elixir. $183 retail?! This should cost $125 to $140 tops. Gucci, you are not Dior.

Beardsome

Received a free bottle to review from Influenster, at first my nose wouldn’t agree with it. Something that was making me feel nauseous upon smell it up close but smell really nice in the air. Gave it a few more sprays and don’t feel nauseous anymore. It really Reminds me of reflection man 45 a lot which I was looking at purchasing but won’t be since I received this free bottle. Would I have purchased if it wasn’t free ? No but it’s a good addition to my collection.

Blxkchai

I received a sample of this from Macy’s. Orris Butter and Vanilla! I’m sold this is a lovely powdery vanilla with a lovely warmth to it. I’m getting Celine Black and Althaïr PDM with an added sweetness. I’m digging this.

SwampSaddle

I don't know if I received a bad sample, but this fragrance smells like all the chemicals you would find in the pest control isle at Home Depot. Maybe it's the pimento seeds and nutmeg at the top? Yuck!

edstyler

The green little Gucci bottle didn't seem promising to me at first, but when I tried it, I was pleasantly surprised. At first, I thought, "Come on... they've copied Amouage Reflection Man," but later, this fragrance takes a slightly different direction. It's extremely high-quality and long-lasting. You won't believe it - it stays on your skin for over 24 hours. I've showered, washed my hands 5 times, and it still lingers. I'm not sure how they managed to achieve such performance. I'm just afraid of getting tired of the scent if it lasts this long :)

In terms of longevity, it's on par with Sauvage Elixir.
In terms of notes, it combines Amouage Reflection Man with Hypnotic Poison notes (but it has something musky, so it's not feminine).
As for the price, it's really too expensive.

Pastalotta

Opens similarly to pdm Pegasus but as it dries on my skin it starts to smell like burning plastic.

Definitely test this one on your skin before buying

I sampled this in a shop which was sprayed 4 times in my writes by the assistant (waaaaay too much I think for an elixir) and on opening I noticed it to resemble mouthwash for 10 minutes, which is nice I guess?

Although, once it settled, wow. I kept on going back to my wrist to get more of this. It does last a long time, 6 hours and silage was still solid.

I’m not sure if this is really worth the £125 for 60ml. It probably is worth £125 if you love the scent, but as many others have mentioned here it’s likely best to hold off the “new release”. Perhaps get it during the Xmas holidays when it might go on sale, but I wouldn’t be so sure on it dropping as much as others may hope considering its price aligns with the range of Gucci Guilty.

Rohaan_A

A very nice blend of spice of florals! Pretty versatile, i can see this being a good fragrance for anytime of the year. Decent release from gucci.

librajinx

This is a wondeful scent, really enjoy this and performs very well - It has a slight creaminess to the orris note, which wont suit the uber masculine man.
What I can definetly say, having sampled all the to follow is...this does not smell like 'reflection man'
That is a dry classy white floral, and it does not smell 'like' Pegasus either... Pegasus contains Almond and Heliotrope...this does not...Pegasus has a slightly sweet nutty dustiness to it...this is far more a creamy uplifting iris-esque fragrance.

Ramstiam

I couldn't help but notice a delightful resemblance to Le Male Essence de Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier in the opening, which, interestingly, is also crafted by Quentin Bisch. The fragrance exudes the charm of prominent white flowers, enveloping you in a powdery, irresistibly likable aura. A very intresting deveopment during the day. May buy... and i defintely see the resemblance to reflection man and the Le Male line. Very nice!

Amazing scent!

jbozz

Gucci Guilty Elixir truly is a fantastic release and it doesn’t really remind me of anything I’ve smelled before. The closest thing I can think of would be a more sophisticated and toned down version of Le Male. A beautiful soft white floral vanilla scent with a faint spice. It wears like a second skin to me and develops wonderfully throughout the drydown, it just gets better and better with a smoothness and refinement that’s niche in quality. The notes are blended seemlessly and nothing in partIcular really jumps out at you. This could totally be an all season signature scent. Nothing loud here at all but it projects in very pleasant wafts for hours and hours and easily lasts a full day, even longer on clothes. Do not overspray, 3-4 is all you need with this. It’s pricey but it also smells of higher quality and refinement than most designers. This and the Guilty EDP are my personal favorites in the line.

Tripokaridos

Like others say , this is by far the Best Elixir ... So premium quality , also very long lasting.
In my opinion the best 2023 for sure .

KJS88

The seething invective that often passes for a review around here forced me to sample it. If not for real interest, then at least out of morbid curiosity. This is actually nice, and I was expecting sickly, cloying, head-drilling sweetness. It's sweet, but it's not bad. Yes, I get Reflection Man, with hints of Gaultier2 and Le Male, and also nods to Pegasus and Hypnotic Poison. If you enjoy Jaipur, anything by JPG, Amouage, and Parfums de Marly, you'll probably enjoy this. If you enjoy very woody, dry, and smoky smellies, you probably won't, but you'd have to be smoking something to suggest that others are terrible people for creating or enjoying it. It's long-lasting and well made, and even my dad who will only wear Cool Water and Jovan Musk liked it, which was sort of shocking. Pretty good stuff, but there's a time and place for it.

@SculptureOfSoul, yep, I get the leathery texture, and also the honeyed edge to the orange blossom, it's really nice!

hc123

As soon as I sprayed this on I was like I've 100% smelled this before. It is a dead ringer for Gaultier 2 which I owned in the early 2000s , It was such a different smell than what I normally wore it's etched into my brain. Its a great smell, maybe slightly dated for some, but I think it's way overpriced. Quite potent so the elixir title is fitting.

SculptureOfSoul

Still loving this. Nobody else's skin brings out the leather? (I only really get it on skin, not nearly as much on paper).

Anyhow, mini-rant time. Sorry, but I see this with many scents and I don't get it at all...

I've seen reviews on YouTube and elsewhere where people say they love it, it's niche quality, etc. but then follow up saying they wouldn't pay such a price for "just a Gucci scent."

I don't get that thinking at all. It's one thing if you just feel that $3/ml is too much for *any* fragrance, I understand that position. I love it when I find something inexpensive that I love. I almost hope I dislike the expensive fragrances because if I do fall in love with one I know I'll eventually have to own it.

But if you're in this for the fragrance, and not some illusory clout for I don't know, owning niche bottles that 99.9% of people have never heard of then it doesn't matter what name is on the bottle. The juice is either good enough or not. You are either willing to pay $180 or $200 or $300 for a fragrance or you're not.

Goes to show just how "free thinking" and original some people are - usually the ones who speak loudest about only enjoying niche and then you see their wardrobe is like 75% or more hype-beasts.

Honestly, the person not into scents at all - who has never been to this site or watched a YouTube review -and just goes to the counter and buys what smells best to them is being more genuine and free thinking than those who love a scent but wouldn't buy it based on the name on the bottle.

Now, if you're just being sensible and waiting for the discounters I understand and this doesn't apply to you. Heaven knows I'll be picking up many more backups once this hits the discounters.

But let's imagine an alternate universe where it never hit the discounters. If you knew it would never go on sale, and you enjoy it as much or more than some other $3/ml scents, would you put off the purchase because it's "just Gucci?" I just wish everyone would be led by their nose and nothing else.

Somwls

I received a sample of this. It is really quite lovely, with white florals, powdery iris combining with sweet vanilla. This projects amazingly for the first 4 hours or so, and after that softens a little but lasts for at least 12 hours. It’s seriously a strong performer, so no complaints there.

Would I pay the price they are asking for a 60ml bottle? Not a chance. I’ll just use up the rest of the sample and if the price becomes more reasonable in future, I may consider it.

Ap2022

Smells like jpg le male and pr 1 million to me not a bad fragrance but not elixir worthy maybe I need 15 more sprays 😂😂😂😂

Invasionbg

Don't remember last time when I washed off a fragrance from my hand. The same way that this sort of perfumes are trying to wash off the masculinity in men perfumery.
I can't understand why they do that... I was wondering if I sprayed the feminine one by mistake but no... Was the green bottle...

exxellence

Reflection Man and Pegasus are def the inspiration here.
So not very original but it's still beautiful, well blended and surprisingly very long lasting.
I actually like it more than Pegasus and since Reflection Man doesn't perform anymore (and Reflection 45 is the price of a car) I think Guilty Elixir is a great option.
I don't like the price tho but I guess Amouage & PDM inspired Gucci for the price as well.

Good stuff.

interpid

I just tried this and it really reminds me of my older Prada amber pour homme mixed with some Jean paul gaultier le male dna.

Invasionbg

Initial thoughts:
Kind of different but also very feminine.

scottwhittlejunk

I'm sorry but this is absolutely beautiful. Defo unisex the wife absolutely loves it.. the price is steep but will be reduced to £80 in time I feel .. test if first but I love this so much and so do people around me

PaddyOhFraiche

This smells nice but it smells nothing like reflection man. That comparison makes no sense. To me it's Gucci guilty's take on Armani code and I love that DNA. The downside is that it’s a 60ml bottle for $200 at retail which is blasphemous. This definitely shouldn’t be over $90. Wait till it hits discounters.

beavisbonce

lovely but expensive and by no means powerful, vibes of Lapidus Altamir

Louche_Bouche

Great.

Christian Cantelli

Immediately after spraying this perfume, I sniffed my wrist and smelled something familiar, but I could not immediately put it in context: strong, sweet, slightly spicy, yet fresh. Then intuition, thinking of food: a scent very similar to the orange blossom water used for Neapolitan pastiera! It quickly turns out to be very strong, it fills the car, it fills the rooms. After about an hour, it begins to change a little, becoming more floral and airy, the orange blossom scent always seems to prevail, but the other flowers, osmanthus and iris rhizome, give the composition a more herbaceous, fruity and vaguely earthy touch. And there we are, four hours pass, five... incredibly, the projection does not seem to diminish, in fact, at times it almost seems to increase, to expand. I know of very few fragrances with this kind of power. I go to the gym, an hour and twenty of training, heat, sweat. Nothing, it's always around me, like a shell. Only after all this does the base emerge, notes of incense grains and above all vanilla, sweet, more than the flowers before. Endless duration, projection off the scale. You have to like flowers and sweet scents, I don't find it masculine, but not feminine either, the right word might be effeminate, almost cheeky. You have to be in the right mood to wear something like this, to embrace it like a flag. It has to be experienced on the skin, with the time it takes to appreciate its evolution; I especially liked the heart of the composition, but it is not in my league, at least at the moment: I wouldn't know when to wear it. Unisex, four seasons, day and night. Very modern.

Tripokaridos

Omg don't let people's know that masterpiece

Roman86

This one is gorgeous and quite unique for a modern designer fragrance. It starts off smelling a bit herbal in the top notes but the dry down is amazing and smells sweet and alluring.
