Corydalis 'Craigton Blue'

Another day, another blue.

Corydalis flexuosa x Corydalis elata 'Craigton Blue' arose as a chance seedling in the garden of Ian Young in Aberdeen. Not many plants offer flowers in such a stunning shade of blue. Both parents almost match this for colour but the hybrid has proved a better garden plant, less reliant on permanent moisture than it's parents. Only time will tell how it gets on here on a soil that dries quickly .....
