STACK OVERFLOW
The client required: ‘A dynamic logo that reflects the potential of this mythical programming community site we’re building’.
A stack overflow error can occur in a computer program due to excessive memory usage, so this needed to be represented in the design along with a flowing over and outpouring of community development knowledge.
The design conveys the business message with a playful corporate mark of overflowing data points. The 2009 logo has since been updated by the Stack Overflow design team, with the general concept remaining the same.
