One of my favorite things about Vanessa Hudgens is that she's always one of the earliest celebrities to arrive on the red carpets of huge entertainment events. The 2024 Oscars are no exception — she didn't wait to make her grand entrance, and can you blame her? If I had chosen this star-studded evening to reveal to the world that I was pregnant, I would probably show up the night before just to ensure the announcement got the attention it deserved. And perhaps the only reason she didn't was to give her glam team the opportunity to make her look her most gorgeous for this major moment.

Hudgens, who married baseball player Cole Tucker in December, had successfully hidden her beautiful new silhouette up until now, arriving at Academy Awards in a form-fitting, black, turtleneck gown by Vera Wang, who also designed her wedding dress. And matching her dress was her dark, long hair — and when I say long, I mean there are literally two feet of extensions in there.

After stylist Danielle Priano gave Hudgens a blowout with the Remington One Multi-Style Hair Dryer, she sectioned her hair and began adding The Hair Shop 26-inch Pro 7 Clip-In Extensions in 1B from the nape upwards, stopping at the occipital bone. “This technique added volume and length, creating an illusion of fuller hair,” Priano explains.

“I applied Polished Up Pomade by SexyHair to smooth the hair and then pulled it into a chic half-up, half-down style, securing it with a ponytail holder,” Priano says. “This step added a sophisticated, snatched, half-up vibe reminiscent of the ‘90s supermodel era.” And that’s especially true of the tendril she left hanging in front.

She then used the Remington One Flat Iron & Curler to curl Hudgens's hair, followed by setting those curls with rollers to hold their shape. After brushing them out to get that flowing look, “I finished the hairstyle with SexyHair Spray & Play Harder for hold and SexyHair Smooth & Seal for an extra glossy finish, ensuring the hair looked stunning and stayed in place through the Oscars.”

Hudgens paired her extra long hair with extra long nails — a glazed French, to be precise. The look was created by nail artist Zola Ganzorigt using a combination of OPI nail polishes and the brand's Tin Man Can chrome. Factor all this in with absolutely flawless makeup, and Vanessa Hudgens has created a memory that's beautiful on numerous levels.
