Vanessa Hudgens Revealed Her Engagement Mani, and It's More Goth Than You'd Expect

Getting engaged is a big deal, but so is the Instagram post to share the news of your future betrothal. A lot depends on one pic: you gotta get the lighting right, the pose should feel natural but not too casual and you need to make sure both your hands and the ring are looking stunning. It's no small feat! However, actor Vanessa Hudgens absolutely nailed it, pun intended, with her snapshot, and honestly, her Goth-inspired manicure is totally competing with the new jewelry.

Hudgens recently got engaged to her boyfriend Cole Tucker in Paris, posting several photos from the big night to Instagram to show off her engagement ring — and her happy, blissfully-in-love smile, of course. Instead of the typical neutral or French tip mani, Hudgens opted for a set of super, super long stiletto nails painted a deep blood red to match the ruby ring worn on her forefinger. Of course, the star probably didn't know she was getting engaged that second and didn't plan the manicure in advance, but the juxtaposition between the giant diamond on a slim golden band and her deep, dark nails is pretty darn chic.

Since her early days in the spotlight on the Disney Channel, Hudgens has had a lot of fun playing with beauty trends and changing up her look. She's experimented with neon green eyeliner, channeled the '70s with feathered hair and impressed us with a whopping seven hairstyle changes when she hosted the MTV Movie Awards in 2022. Nails are a big part of Hudgens's beauty routine; she prefers her manicures long and sculpted, with fun, unexpected details like pink flames. 

Now that her partner put a ring on it, the actor has some planning to do, and if we know baby V, we know that her bridal beauty looks are going to be out-of-this-world stunning.
