If you wish to unlock new potions classes and progress with the game, then you will need to locate these items and start growing them. Of course, that’s easier said than done, and in this guide, we’ll be breaking down everything you need to know.

How to buy Fluxweed Stem and Venomous Tantacula – Hogwarts Legacy
You can purchase Venomous Tantacula from the Dogweed and Deathcap on the North side of Hogsmeade for 500 gold.
You can also purchase Fluxweed Stem from The Magic Neep, also in Hogsmeade, for 150 gold.
These prices frankly aren't worth paying, as you can grow them infinitely, and cheaply. Follow the steps below to complete Professor Garlick's Assignment 2.
How to grow Fluxweed Stem and Venomous Tantacula in Hogwarts Legacy

Both Fluxweed and Venomous Tantacula can be grown in the Room of Requirement back at Hogwarts, but they will both require Large Pots in order to grow them. You’ll be able to easily complete the below steps once the Room of Requirement is unlocked.
First, you’ll need to visit the Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogsmeade in order to purchase seeds for both types of plants. Once seeds are purchased, you will have an infinite supply of that seed type.
Where to buy Large Pots – Hogwarts Legacy
Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade has everything you need.
Next, you’ll need to visit Tomes and Scrolls, which is on the South side of Hogsmeade. Here you’ll be able to buy a variety of items for the Room of Requirement, including Large Pots.
Once you have everything, return to the Room of Requirement and place the Large Pots – enough for you to grow what you need. You will only need one pot for each type of seed.
Large plants are on a 15-minute timer that you need to wait for, but once it’s up, you will be able to harvest the plant and come back every 15 minutes to harvest even more. Return to the Room of Requirement regularly, and you will never run out of Fluxweed and Venomous Tentacular.
Once you've got Fluxweed, you can complete Professor Garlick's Assignment 2 and learn a new spell, Flipendo. It's a good technique for combat spell combinations in Hogwarts Legacy.
