It's hard to capture what their coloring is like. Here are a few pictures of males.

I had these on my radar for quite a while but it seems the look of this species can differ greatly depending on the line, I never was able to find any that I was happy with. Yours are beautiful!

Great looking Rusties Betty. I finally got some after looking for a year for some. I can't wait till they grow up, hopefully they will be half as amazing as yours.

Thanks!

I really do enjoy the rusties. They have quite a bit of spunk without being too aggressive. Mine (the males) are friendly and will come into my hand when I'm working in their tank.

Great stuff Betty! Really nice looking males. They look great when they color up like that thumbs up . Must say that you have an impressive stocklist of mbunas.

Thank you Håkan. I like the few Tangs that I have recently started with, but mbuna are still my favorites!! They seem more like pets. I can't see myself not having them.

I have kept Rusties since I started keeping African cichlids!

But last night, my last Rusty died!

They do make a great community tank cichlid among Mbuna.
