The Pea Pufferfish is one of the smallest specimens of Pufferfish. They're more ideal as they are 100% true freshwater Puffers.
They can be a bit more shy when compared to larger sized Puffers due to their pygmy size as they fall easy to becoming prey in the wild to larger fish.
The Pea Puffer is also commonly known as the Pygmy Puffer or Malabar Dwarf Puffer due to their very small size.
Don't let their small size fool you as they can be aggressive to fish larger than them. The Pea Puffer can get territorial so it is best to keep them in a larger tank with dense plants to break their line of sight.
