Hagaparken is my mentally escape from reality. I stroll or run in this park 3-4 times a week. Large verdant areas mixed with beautiful woodland characterize this English-inspired Park. Besides, in the park there are a number of different pavilions and temples such as the Turkish and Chinese Pavilion, as well as the Copper Tents and the Echo Temple.
This is a perfect location for workout, picnic or just to visit one of the cafes for an ice cream during a hot summer day.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Angela M.Atlanta, GA92719032416Dec 18, 2017
We used Hagaparken to run every morning while we were staying nearby. Even though we were up before the sun (in December, that's not hard), we felt safe and enjoyed our runs. The paths are all well-lit and seemed well-maintained in terms of evenness. We were never the only people in the park, passing plenty of other runners, walkers, cyclists, and those with dogs. There are maps and plaques that you can stop to read, plenty of great views (even in the dark!), and enough space that it feels outside of the city for the few minutes that you're there.

Beautiful park to go running in, have a picnic at, take a hike or an evening stroll through! We stopped by here on the way home from an early dinner party at a friends place Sunday evening. I felt so full and really needed to stretch my legs a little. Haga park was a perfect place to do that! The park was pretty empty because it was so late, but because of the long daylight hours in Sweden this time of year it was still light for a whole hour or two from the time we got there--at about 8pm. It felt kinda cool to be in such a touristy place but be all alone on the trails most of the time. What started out as a small walk quickly turned into a real athletic adventure when we decided to hike up the huge and incredibly steep hill or bluff on the way back to the car. Who knew that there was such a great hiking trail in the middle of the park!? Good thing I had sneakers on! If I came back I would definitely come in some athletic clothing to really get in a good workout! Beautiful park with great trails!

This is one of the nicest spots in Stockholm and consequently one of my favorites. Walking around the lake in warm or cold weather is beautiful and relaxing. The trails through the woods are less frequented and offer some overhead views of the park in some areas. It's a great spot for running, or relaxing on the grass and grilling in the Summer. Plenty of open fields to kick a futbol, throw a frisbee or play kubb. Some interesting looking buildings for tourists and locals to appreciate throughout the seasons. When I think of the beauty and uniqueness of Stockholm this is one of the first places I imagine.
