Phelsuma Robertmertensi (also known as “Robert Merten’s day gecko”), is a diurnal species of day gecko that is endemic to the Island of Mayotte, located within the Comoros Islands. It is often found on banana trees and in abandoned vanilla orchid plantations. The body color is generally dark green, or blueish green, with an orange dorsal stripe that extends from its head down to the tip of its tail. The sides of its neck and stomach are greyish brown.
