Transfer expert Matteo Moretto confirms Roma are among the clubs interested in versatile Genoa striker Albert Gudmundsson for next season.

Fiorentina pushed hard to sign Gudmundsson in the January transfer window, but Genoa refused to sell the Iceland international after sending Radu Dragusin to Tottenham for over €30m.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto has told Caught Offside that Roma and some Premier League clubs have already set their sights on the versatile striker for next season. It is believed that Genoa’s asking price for their best scorer won’t be lower than €40m.

Gudmundsson has previously been linked with moves to West Ham and Aston Villa, as well as Juventus in Serie A.

The 26-year-old has recently signed a contract extension until June 2027 at the Stadio Ferraris but will have several options in the summer as many clubs have been following him lately.

The versatile striker has scored 11 goals in 23 appearances with the Grifone so far this season.
