not new, but lend them an ear…
Ashamed to say that I haven’t heard of this band. From Stoke and a good SKA sound so far. Started with the most recent.
Sir, my apologies I was the one going to bed
Hhahaha I misunderstood and thought my mother had come back and was sending me to bed
Giving this another listen
Hi,
who is Marc Anthony and what is this post about?!
that wasn’t my problem as I did run from my room and hide away with a small lantern. But waking up “time to go to school”. Sometimes I think I’ve got a job that mainly starts at 14:00 just because of that.
Giving this instrumental version (thanks @ged_hickman1) a first listen, not the same without the historic voices, but still nice music
“Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears” is the first line of a speech by Mark Antony in the play Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare. Occurring in Act III, scene II, it is one of the most famous lines in all of Shakespeare’s works
sorry, I’m a german cultural philistine…I’ve heard the name before, but haven’t read a line from Shakespear…
I felt the urge to play this one…
Possibly my favourite Bowie album, although Hunky Dory is up there, too.
I think I’ll play that next while I’ home alone.
Station to Station is one of my favs.
I’ll chime in with Ziggy Stardust
That’s one of mine, too. Well, I guess quite a few are!
I od on Ziggy by Bowie and Billion Dollar Babies by Alice as a kid and those pair are forever indelibly etched in my mind.
It’s absolutely irrelevant if there are better albums by both artists ( highly likely), my mind refuses to accept the possibility
