Jean Torton started drawing for the magazine Tintin in 1962. For this magazine he created numerous short stories and the historical comics 'Les Conquérants du Mexique' and 'Cortés à Mexico'. While still working for Tintin, he was also active in chief editor Raymond Leblanc's animation studio Belvision, where he worked on animated features based on René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo's 'Astérix' ('Astérix le Gaulois', 1965) and Hergé's 'Tintin' ('Tintin et le Temple du Soleil', 1969)…Comiclopedia
