Lina Medina - the youngest mother in the world was only 5 years old when she delivered a child
A Peruvian national, Lina Medina was all of five years, seven months and 21 days in 1939, when she gave birth to a baby boy through a caesarean delivery. As their daughter's belly kept growing, her worried parents thought that she had a tumour and took her to a hospital in Lima. The child, born on May 14, 1939 was named Gerardo.
