•  Inside of the fruit, are the bright yellow ‘bulbs’ which are the edible portion of the Jackfruit. The bulbs are 5 to 7 centimeters long and . They contain 100 to 500 edible, brown seeds that can be roasted. Jackfruit has a sweet taste and a flavor that is compared to bananas, pineapple and even bubblegum. As the fruit ripens, the bulbs become a darker orange-yellow and the taste gets sweeter.
