#5: Samantha Potter

FYI, I couldn’t find a picture of Sam with her haircut from ANTM, but that is her. Anyways, I’m not a Sam fan…at all. She was always complaining about how much people were complaining, which wound up making her complain the most. I also felt that, at least based on the whole prostitution conversation, she thinks that the way she views things is the only right way to view things and that the world should basically reflect on her personal views, which is an attitude that I just cannot respect.

I might have been able to ignore this if Sam was a genius model, but she definitely was not. I was astounded that she made it all the way to being the runner-up because her portfolio did not support that. I actually laughed in my rewatch when the judges were entertaining the idea that Sam could actually win the show (lol no) and pretended that she and McKey were neck-and-neck as contestants. That just wasn’t the case at all. Her photos were hit or miss and her runway walk was kind of a mess. Actually now that I write this, I’m questioning why I placed her above Elina…

Post-ANTM, Sam has been signed with L.A. Models and has walked for designers Individuals by AMFI, EиD by Eva and Delia, Ready to Fish by ilja and Addy van de Krommenacker at Amsterdam International Fashion Week 2009 as part her prize in episode 10. In 2008, she appeared in The Big Bang Theory in the episode “The Panty Piñata Polarization”, along with contestant Analeigh Tipton, but her role was a non-speaking one. Potter also appeared in gospel artists Mary Mary’s music video for God In Me.
