The Center for Global Engagement & the Middle East Center are presenting a talk on the "Wonders of Egypt" at 6 p.m. on November 8, in The Globe Auditorium.

What is the secret behind the name "Egypt"? • Why are the pyramids among the world’s seven wonders? • Do Egyptians still speak the ancient Egyptian Language? • Are there other secrets behind the temples, the tombs, the mummies, etc.? - these are just some of the common questions asked about Egypt, and this event aims to answer these questions for all in attendance.

This event will begin with an informational presentation and conclude with participants sampling an Egyptian dessert, Om Ali, traced back to Medieval Egypt and named after the wife of the Sultan of Egypt.
