Iredalei are one of the smaller in the Achatina family, they have a golden shell and a caramel and cream coloured body, their internal organs can be partially seen through their thin and semi-transparent shells. This is a small species usually reaching sexual maturity at around 6 months. They are a live bearing species (they do not lay eggs). The babies are born in groups of 10-30 and should be handled carefully as they are very delicate snail especially when first born.
