Cute Rumor About Tortoiseshell Cats Makes Them Even More Endearing

They're just the best!

Just like dogs, cats come in many breeds, sizes, and coat colors. Some physical traits are rarer than others, and it's rumored that some may even affect a cat's personality, too. Have you heard about any of these rumors?

One of them is spreading a cute fun fact about tortoiseshell cats, and honestly--we can't say that we're mad. The theory can't be confirmed, per se, but tortie owners like @authoralyssaclay seem to think there's something to it.

Aww, this kitty is so cute! We love their huge yellow eyes and inquisitive nature, though the sassy meow definitely proves this cat mom's theory on 'tortie-tude.' In fact, a lot of her commenters agree!

"I have a tortie and she's very spicy," shared @xjustin818x. We believe it! What we can't believe, though, is the damage another viewer's tortoiseshell cat caused.

@Thechewmasterpack wrote, "my tortie put my sister's ex-husband in the hospital. He tried to grab her without asking her for permission." OMG! That's seriously intense, but it definitely falls under the category of 'tortie-tude.' In fact, we'd even call it Tortie rage.

"Torties are just angrier calicos," @damnitscloudy said. LOL! Behavior-wise, this just might be true. Torties are well-known for sass, while calicos are credited as more well-rounded. When it comes to coat color, though, these patterns are entirely different!

A calico cat will have a tri-colored coat, with a mixture of white, black, and orange. On the other hand, tortoiseshell cats' coats combine two colors other than white--usually black and orange. There's no denying it, though, both fur patterns are paw-sitively stunning.
