Description: This annual Tobacco is easy to grow and will reseed itself. Its large yellow flowers bloom all summer and its leaves have a nicotine content as high as 9%. Tobacco has been used by many different cultures for a wide variety of uses and is considered a sacred plant by many indigenous peoples of North and South America. The leaves of this plant can be used to make pesticides due to the high concentration of nicotine it produces.

Found in Nature: Sunny open sites to Part Shade, well drained to moderately dry or sandy soils.

Distribution: Eastern North America
