Aidan Blaszkowski is the Army brat rarity. The senior has spent all 12 years in the Fort Campbell school system and feels like that helped him hone his baseball craft with the same set of coaches and playing with some of the same players in high school.
On Friday, Blaszkowski proved that theory true as he signed to play baseball at Lakeland University in Wisconsin.
Blaszkowski is tied for the Fort Campbell team lead in extra-base hits and is second in on-base percentage. On the mound, he has struck out 20 batters in 24 innings of work.
Last year, he was among the team leaders in hitting and struck out 60 batters in 57 innings.
Blaszkowski has excelled in several sports at Fort Campbell and was named All-District in both soccer and basketball. But baseball is his favorite and that’s what led him to Wisconsin.
Lakeland University is an NCAA Division III school in Plymouth, Wisconsin that competes in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
