Serena Williams Wears Hip-Length Braided Ponytail With Her Fascinator at the Royal Wedding
The day many of us have been waiting for is here: It's the long-awaited royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and all eyes are on the two lovebirds as they say their vows and set the foundation for a lifelong marriage together. However, that doesn't mean the guests can't also show up in their best and brightest, and Serena Williams is a perfect example of top-notch wedding fashion.
As you may know, fascinators are quite the staple at royal weddings (Allure has written a thorough history of the accessory, if your interest has been piqued). That's why you may be noticing quite a lot of them sitting on the heads of famous guests in some of the photos from today — including tennis champion Serena Williams.
The athlete — and new mom — showed up to the royal wedding wearing a pink dress, matching pink fascinator, and a super-long braided ponytail that will give you major hair goals. Though fascinators are often the star of the look, her hair also looked fantastic, and she showed it off in a few different Instagram photos, both solo and with her gorgeous family.
You may remember Beyoncé wearing a similarly long ponytail to Williams's own wedding, so perhaps like fascinators, extra-long ponytails will soon become their own wedding look. Then again, Yara Shahidi wore a super long ponytail recently as well, so maybe it's the next thing coming, even for everyday. You heard it here first.
