Parasite infections of goats can lead to improper digestion, reduced feed intake, weight loss, anemia and even death. Safe-Guard® Dewormer for Goats is an oral dewormer that provides effective treatment and control of the following internal parasites of goats:

  • Barberpole worms (Haemonchus contortus)
  • Stomach worms (Teladorsagia circumcincta)

Safe-Guard® Dewormer for Goats contains the active ingredient fenbendazole in an oral suspension. Administer 2.3 mL for each 100 lbs of body weight. Under conditions of continued exposure to parasites, retreatment may be needed after 4-6 weeks. Do not administer to goats within 6 days of slaughter. Because a withdrawal time in milk has not been established, do not administer to lactating goats. Administer orally.

Supplied as a single 125 mL bottle.

How many goats does this bottle de-worm?

Asked by: Stacey
Hello! I cannot be sure how long this will last you since the dosage is based on the weight of your goats. If they are all around 100 lbs, then at 2.3 ml per 100 lbs of body weight, this would worm 54 goats per bottle if you are only giving one dose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't work as well as it used toThis dewormer has been used so much in goat deworming, that it is not as effective as it used to be. At least here in California. I don't know of an alternative, so I will keep using it since I don't have much choice.
