With Halloween coming in the next few weeks, we’ve made a list of upcoming Halloween and Fall events for the public.
Information will be listed as it is posted on shared flyers or other information. Events will be listed by town.

West Plains:
West Plains Downtown Scare on the Square. Tuesday October 31st, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm. Carinval-style games, activities, and candy avaialble.
First United Methodist Church Trunk or Treat in West Plains. 503 West Main Street, West Plains. October 29th from 4pm to 6pm. Contact: 417-256-6167.
Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Party. Wages Brewing Company. 1382 Bill Virdon Blvd, West Plains. October 31st 8pm. RHPS Costume contest, and movie screening. Event is 18+.
The Dark Truth is in the Dark Ozarks. West Plains Public Library. October 27th, 6pm. Hosts Josh Heston and Lisa Martin will discuss mysteries, legends and dark history of the Ozarks.
Midwest Ghouling (Dueling) Pianos. October 26th at the West Plains Civic Center, 7pm. Halloween-themed interactive comedy musical performance.
Scream Social. October 27th at KC’s Sports Bistro in West Plains. Starts with a party on October 27th, with events to follow into the weekend. Family-friendly.
Rescue Church Fall Festival. October 21st from 3pm to 7pm, at 1010 6th Street, West Plains, parking at Carmichael Field. Live music, hot cocoa, bounce houses, face-painting, trunk or treat. Family Friendly.
Trike N’ Treat. October 25th from 3pm to 6pm at Carmichael Field, West Plains. Costume contest, free helmets, organized by Howell County WIC and Breastfeeding Support.
Halloween Costume Party at Amvets Post 98. 1852 County Road 6070, West Plains. Saturday, October 28th at 6pm.
His Place Christian Academy Fall Carnival. October 28th at 4pm to 7pm. 1849 Co Rd 6460, West Plains.
Trick or Treat Drive-thru. Mayfield Auto Repair, 2090 Clark Avenue in West Plains. October 31st from 6pm to 8pm.
Skids 4 Kids Trunk or Treat and Toy Drive. October 28th from 9am to 11am. Collecting toys for John Hopkns Childrens Hospital. Location is Conjure Coffee, 2105 Hubert Redburn Drive, West Plains.
Fall Spooktacular and Haunted House. October 28th from 2 to 6pm at 910 Grace Avenue, West Plains. Included are Halloween games, fundraising, crafts, and inflatables.
Timbo:
Timbo Great Pumpkin Trunk-or-Treat at the Timbo School Parking Lot. Tuesday October 31st from 5pm to 8pm. Contact: 870-213-5583.
Caulfield:
Halloween 2023 at Cloud 9 Ranch in Caulfield. October 27th through October 29th. Various activities planned, and fund-raising efforts for the local Cloud 9 Ranch Volunteer Fire Department. Contact: 417-284-7321.
Mountain View, MO.:
Halloween Blitz. 412 West Highway 60, Mountain View, MO. October 31st from 5pm to 7pm. Ice cream, and snacks, and a costume contest, all kid-friendly.
Spook Street. Annual Halloween Festival in Mountain View. Takes place in downtown on Oak Street between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd streets. Event starts October 28th from 3pm to 8pm. Includes Trunk or Treating, face painting, games, live music, decoration and lights, and more.
Birch Tree:
Birch Tree Haunted Depot. Open every Saturday in October from 7 to 10pm, Friday, October 27th, and Halloween Night. Entry is $5.
Willow Springs:
Willow Springs Trunk or Treat. October 31st at Booster Field. Event begins at 5pm. Family-friendly.
Walnut Ridge, AR.:
Walnut Ridge Trunk or Treat. October 28th at the Reflections Shopping Center in Walnut Ridge, AR. Games, candy, hayrides, and a costume contest. Family-friendly.
Dora:
Dora Trunk or Treat. October 31st at the Dora School parking lot from 5pm to 7pm. Family-friendly.
Ava:
Hometown Hot Rod Festival. October 21st from 1pm to 8pm on the square in Ava, MO. Live music, classic cars, food trucks, crafts, kids play area, and more.
Winona:
Winona Car Show. October 28th at the Winona Square. Vendors, food, and awards to be given to participants.
