Staurogyne Repens originates from South America. It grows small green leaves, grows compact and low to the substrate. It is an ideal plant for the foreground areas of the aquarium.

Care & Maintenance for Staurogyne Repens

Staurogyne Repens is a small, undemanding and hardy plant. It is not particularly fussy about the substrate but will grow better, thicker and faster in rich substrate. It does not require strong light but like most plants it grows more compact and bushier when stronger light is provided.

Staurogyne Repens looks great when planted in bunches. When allowed to spread, the plant will form thick carpet across the aquarium’s substrate. If some of the leaves shoot too far upright for your liking, you can trim them using aquascaping scissors and "train" or encourage the plant to produce new horizontal shoots.
