Jim Carrey has always walked the walk when it came to being a wild character in Hollywood as one of the most recognizable faces in comedy.
Now he has the hairstyle to match his exuberance.
Ahead of celebrating his 62nd birthday, which falls on January 17, the actor ventured out with a group of friends on Wednesday in Los Angeles to kick off the celebrations.
Carrey hosted an exclusive lunch at the very private restaurant San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood and one noticeable change from his usual look was his hairstyle.
Instead of the combed look he usually prefers, the "Dumb and Dumber" star might well be channeling his inner Keanu Reeves by deciding to grow out his hair to shoulder length.
He debuted the new long look as he was photographed leaving the restaurant.
Adam Sandler, Jimmy Kimmel, Dustin Hoffmann and Seth Green were all there to celebrate with their friend.
The man of the hour wore a casual tan jacket over a black T-shirt and had a birthday present in his hands while he walked.
He even felt the need for a security guard to come along for the ride, who stood beside Carrey while he carried a cake box.
What is Jim Carrey doing now?
Having starred in a number of hit films over the years, from The Mask to Liar Liar, Carrey is stepping back from acting for good after 35 years of active service.
Instead, the Canadian-born movie star is focusing on his painting in his remaining years after earnings
"Well, I'm retiring. Yeah, probably. I'm being fairly serious," he told Access Hollywood in March 2022.
"It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink that says to me that it's going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I'm taking a break.
"I feel like - and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists - I have enough. I've done enough. I am enough," he said.
