Aerocare, the people I call family and the place I call home.

Aerocare, the people I call family and the place I call home.

In response to the one sided and manufactured reporting by the ABC 7.30 report on the 20/03/2017 against a company I am proud to be a part of.

In December 2010, I join Aerocare Flight Support. To be offered a role in such a great company was an honour, a privilege and something I will forever be thankful for.

As someone who began their career as an airline check-in agent, working my way up to being part of the operational leadership team at Melbourne Airport, being a part of Aerocare has been one of the best times of my life and my biggest achievement to date. It was those around me, my Aerocare family that made success happen. With much thought and consideration I sadly left Aerocare in December 2013 to embark on a career change into HR and Recruitment, to learn very quickly that I wish I had never left. Shortly after I was lucky enough be back with the people I call family and the place I call home in a recruitment capacity for our leadership and specialist roles. We focus on internal development, to take our people on our journey. Out of 38 roles in 12 months 60% have been internal appointments with some external candidates being ex Aerocare employees coming back to the company they love, just like me. Our people want to grow with us as they value Aerocare. When asked in interview why they like working for Aerocare their response is always “Because its a family”.

Aerocare is our people, the ones that contribute to our success each and everyday. Safety is the core of what we do and our excellent safety record spanning 22 years proves that. We are passionate, we are driven and we are successful and will continue that way and will not be beaten by misleading and unfounded allegations.

breaking news Aerocare to probe staff sleep claims MARCH 21, 201712:37PM Belinda Tasker Australian Associated Press Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Google+Share on RedditEmail a friend Aviation services firm Aerocare has rejected claims it forces staff at Sydney Airport to sleep on the ground in baggage handling areas in between their shifts. Staff from Aerocare, which provides services including baggage handling and aircraft cleaning, have claimed on ABC TV's 730 they sleep on makeshift beds in a staff-only area near the baggage carousel in the international terminal because they work split shifts that start early and finish late at night. Aerocare chief executive Glenn Rutherford says while the company will investigate the claims, staff have access to their own lounge and he is unaware of employees sleeping between shifts in the baggage handling area. "Aerocare does not and will not permit the 'camping out' that has been shown," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

This is great. After all of the noise around the issues in Sydney to see the loyalty, appreciation and honour for Aerocare from its staff is inspirational. Hats off to you Aerocare team.

I don't feel that this article actually responds to the initial issue facing the ground crews.
