Non Timber Forest Production Project in Gilgit-Baltistan is working for the sustainable production of valuable forest products and services through communities in different Districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. One of the main objective of this Project is establishment of nurseries for production and propagation of NTFP, S in different ecological zones in Gilgit Baltistan. Due to over exploitation of NTFP, s for the natural habitat these valuable resources are rapidly depleting from the alpine pastures. This situation may also cause to restricting the livelihood options and opportunities for the mountain communities due to depleting of these resources from the region.
