🌱 Spotting and Solving Manganese Deficiency in Your Garden 🌱 Manganese (Mn) deficiency in plants can be a subtle foe, creeping up unnoticed until your plants start showing signs of distress. As an essential micronutrient, manganese plays a critical role in photosynthesis, enzyme functions, and the defense against pathogens. The telltale signs of manganese deficiency include interveinal chlorosis in young leaves, where the area between the veins turns yellow while the veins themselves stay green.
