Rani Mukerji reveals she was only 17 when she played a mother in K2H2

Actor Rani Mukerji recently revealed that she was only 17 years old when she was cast to play Tina in the beloved Karan Johar directorial Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

In a video that is being widely shared on the internet, the actor can be heard claiming that it was one of the most difficult roles to pull off at the time.

"The most challenging was when I was 17 years old, I played a mom in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I played a mom then, I was Tina. But luckily I was a ghost mum in that film," said the actor.

For the unversed, Tina's character died when Anjali was only an infant.

FANS ON RANI'S STATEMENT

As soon as the video was shared, internet users took to comments section to refute Rani's claims of being a teenager during the shoot of the film as one wrote, "She was 20 not 17.... bcz in 1978 she was born and film was released in 1998."

Another mentioned in a comment, "Mom just in theory....she hardly had only one scene with the child, that too I am sure a doll. And btw she was not 17 during K2H2." However, a person tried defending Rani's claims as they wrote, "I think she meant it sarcastically."

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai had released in 1998 and starred Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan in lead roles. The film was a critical and commercial success upon its release.
