In the world of aquarists this plant is known as ''Stringy Mos''. It has a dark-green color with irregularly branched shoots which can grow up to 30 cm upwards in a stringy manners. Natural habitat are wet places like tree bases or roots, lakes and rivers all over the world. Under intensive light it ramifies better. It is highly tolerant to the water pollution.
