Tudor-inspired castle

Tjolöholms slott

A beautiful castle south of Gothenburg.

Tjolöholm Castle was built in 1898-1904 and is an exciting mix of English 16th century, Arts & Crafts and the most modern innovations of the time.

In addition to the castle, the property also has a well-preserved workers’ village, castle church, carriage museum, several beautiful gardens and large natural areas with many hiking trails. Below the castle is a child-friendly swimming area.

You can visit Tjolöholm Castle all year round. Guided tours are given at the castle, but you can also discover the castle on your own. Eat well in restaurant Storstugan and in Trädgårdskaféet Manegen. If you want to buy a souvenir to take home with you, a visit to the Castle Shop is recommended. Various events and activities for the whole family are organized throughout the year.

It is possible to spend the night in the former workers’ housing. Read more about accommodation at Tjolöholm here.
