New for the 2021 growing season, Enoch Seed Company is extremely proud to introduce perhaps the most colourful addition, Joseph’s Coat Amaranth! This striking annual quickly made it to the top of our favourites list with its beautiful abundance of colours. Foliage will start with streaks of burgundy surrounded by a deep green, growing complimenting coloured leaves in maroon, gold and yellow as the plant grows to maturity. A known species in the Monticello Gardens, circa 1806. Easy to grow! Great for borders and garden edges. Known as Tricolour Amaranth, Summer Poinsettia or Fountain Plant is known as an edible crop in some parts of the world.
What you get: Each seed package is individually made and includes seeds packaged in a sealed bag with an identification tag. Amaranth seeds are packaged in a standard of a minimum of 25 seeds per package. ** Due to the extremely small size of this seed, the package may contain a small amount of dried plant debris. **
Where and when to plant: Seeds should be directly sewn outside in mid-May after the danger of frost has passed. For earlier plants, start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. As recommended, for best results, always research to your area.
How to care for: Grow in well-drained soil and plant in a sunny to full sun area. Water well, but do not let the roots soak. Suitable for beds and containers. Once established, fairly drought tolerant.
How long until bloom: 70-90 Days
