It can live underwater, once planted in your aquarium, roots will start to grow within a few days and eventually change its color and form.
Its growth condition and color will depend on your aquarium's growing environment.

Nutrients, Substrate, CO2, Adequate Lighting, Iron, Water PH, Temperature and so on, are essentials for planted aquarium. With the right environment plants will thrive.
