The peacock blue-green hue of this plant is actually more of an effect than a pigment: it’s produced when wavelengths of light are slowed down as they pass through the leaves, making the plant appear to glow in a very deep, dark way- absolutely mesmerizing! In addition to the otherworldly color, this particular variety of uncinata is capable of growing long, sinuous branches that gracefully curve to and fro, evoking such a sense of wonder. These exotic stunners are surprisingly easy to grow as long as they are kept humid and moist- they don't like to dry out. Many people grow this plant in a semi-aquatic environment, so water propagation may be a great option. I am simply thrilled to be sharing this exceptional specimen with all of you!

Plant the cuttings into small pots filled with a moist and well-draining soil mix. Place the pot in a location with bright light and maintain temperatures of about 68° degrees Fahrenheit.
A rooting hormone will help the plant root quicker and begin growing out. Be careful not to overwater the plant. This little plant likes a moist soil but does not like overwatering. Allow the top layer of the soil to completely dry before watering again.
Do not make the soil waterlogged. Overwatered peperomia prostrata becomes wilted or grows scab-like protuberances from their leaves.
