If you compare with some other phone such as Nokia E71, E61i or iPhone, the P1i runs a little slower. But, everything else is great. Camera: as many other PDA or business phones, the camera of P1i is normal quality, but it better than iPhone, E71 or E61i. Software: thousands of applications, games for P1i. Great. One misstake that does not included GPS. But every phone which produced in 2007 does not have the GPS included, so that this problem is not so importance. You can use the bluetooth GPS receiver. ....

Having gone through about 7 phones in the last 3 years & also unlocking many makes and models, it's safe to say I like messing about with mobile phones. The P1i is a very powerful but easy to use phone. The fact that you can use the buttons to operate the phone or the touch-screen is very intuitive. I myself use a combination of both but I find that the included stylus is rarely utilised, the tip of a fingernail is all that is required. The keypad is qwerty one which uses a rocker motion; a minimum of 2 letters to 1 button. It is odd when you first use it, but soon becomes as quick as typing on a normal phone, if not more so. The hand-writing recognition software is ok, but in translating scrawl to typed letters, it is more of a flashy gimmick, often mis-translating letters and words. The camera is of Sony Cybershot quality, a 3.2m producing impressive results and having a built-in LED flash. Call quality is clear & the sound quality through the loadspeaker is exceptional; very coherent & little sibilence at mid-level volumes. The expandable M2 port is at the side of the phone making it easy to swap out cards and the MP3/Video player is simple to use. Battery life is good, much better than I expected. The build quality of the phone is also excellent. It is much more compact than it looks in pictures too, but is slightly weighty due to the superb build & of quality materials used. It's been surpassed in pretty much everyway by the Xperia, but take a look at the price differential. Overall, i'm very happy with the phone. To me, my phone is my MP3 player, camera & notepad in one unit. I can't be bothered to carry multiple items; the P1i is all i need.Read full review
This smartphone is a quality build and made to last. Until I purchased it, I was a Blackberry user but, never again. Im quickly converted. You can still do all the same Blackberry type functions. Having owned one, I can tell you its also as good as any Google Android based smartphone. The software and hardware are reliable and the P1i is largely directed toward the business user. Overall, the P1i's performance is simply excellent. The best "phone" I've ever owned..... by a mile. Only P1i improvement for me would the smartphone having an inbuilt GPS receiver but nothing more.
