Daniel Duane Loken was born January 5, 1954 in Grand-Forks North Dakota to Ila and Duane Loken. After graduation from Lompoc High School in Lompac California; Daniel started work on drywall, and became a member of the Carpenter Union. He attended Peace Lutheran Church that his father help build.
Dan moved, to Anchorage Alaska where he changed his profession, and became an elevator mechanic. It was there he met, and married Minnie February 14, 1998. Daniel, and Minnie continued their journey together in Alaska another 18 years before moving back after Daniel received a terminal diagnosis. Daniel then, decided to move back home to be close to his family. In an unselfish act Daniel decided to move to Killeen, TX so his wife would be close to her family after his passing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Loken and uncle, Galen Olsen.
Daniel Loken, left to cherish his memory, his wife, Minnie Loken of Killeen, TX; his three sons: Michael Loken of California, Kevin Loken of California, and Bryan Loken of Hawaii; his mother, Ila Loken, and Ron Carson of North Carolina; sisters, Carol Morris of California, Shelia Alvarez of California; and brother, Mark Loken of Carter Lane Idaho; five grandchildren: Devon Smith, Ciera Loken, Derrick Loken, Connor Loken, and Cotton Loken and his “Big Texas Family” who have extended their love and support; alongside a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Quale Church Cemetery in Fordville, North Dakota.
A special thank from Minnie Loken, to her sisters, Sarah and her husband, Robert Thomas, Patricia Evans, and niece, Anastasia Gordon for their time, love, and support they have given. Thank God for all He has done for our family!
