I’m a career changer and BU SHA’s program was a perfect match for my needs. I knew I wanted a strong program, but also didn’t want to spend more than another year in school since I had just graduated with a culinary degree as well. SHA has a great mix of coursework as well. I knew I would be gaining critical skills in both operations and finance, which was important for me.  SHA not only prepared me with a strong foundation in hospitality management, but it also helped me fine tune my skills in public speaking, intercultural communication and leadership. The program challenges you to get out of your comfort zone and approach problems from ways that you may not have considered before.

The best thing about the program was the people, both the students and the professors. The experiences that everyone brings to the classroom really elevates the program. When you can apply real world experience to the course content, it really opens up the dialogue and helps put the concepts we learn into practice.
