è la versione Giapponese del box, e come tutti gli item Jap, ha un confezionamento superbo, soprattutto dopo che ho letto parecchie lamentele per la versione europea, dove la parte metallica della pinza del badge ha danneggiato in parte, il contenuto. Qui il badge è inserito in una bustina di plastica protettiva, e sono presenti due fogli di sacball protettivi per i poster ed il libro (vedi foto) Come tutti i pezzi distribuiti in Giappone, è presente un fascicolo aggiuntivo con testi e spiegazioni in giapponese.
Andiamo al contenuto:

I soli CD valgono l'acquisto del box:
- CD "Raw Sessions": si trovano versioni alternative delle tracce di NOTW (demo, early version etc...)
- CD bonus: alcune versioni già edite - come quelle per la BBC - ma altre no; aclune versioni live e, soprattutto, la prima traccia, "Feelings feelings" che girava con qualità scadente su internet. Molto bello ed interessante aver raccolto qui tutte queste versioni.
- CD New Of The World (bob ludwig 2011 master)

- DVD The American Dream: temevo non potesse essere letto dal mio lettore DVD, invece non ci sono stati problemi

- LP riedito dal master originale analogico

Andiamo al resto del materiale:
- bellissimi gli sticker, i pass e le immagini allegate; i poster sono tre, e rappresentano le cover esterna ed interna del vinile ed il banner del concerto di Houston del 1977. Sono presenti anche dei fogli con info sulla realizzazione dell'album e del tour. Tutto questo è tenuto dentro una busta ed un involucro con una cover con riprodotto il giornale "News of the world"
- Il libro è molto ben fatto, ed i cd + dvd sono conservati nell'ultima pagina dentro una bustina trasparente (tipico dei cd editi in Giappone) ad imitazione delle buste per i vinili

Se proprio si vuole trovare una pecca, la troviamo nel fatto che per ascoltare un cd o veder il DVD è necessario smontare tutto il box. Poco importa, basta masterizzare il tutto per un uso quotidiano ed il problema è risolto!

私はデラックス・エディションを購入する場合の基準として新リミックスのハイレゾ音源が挿入されていないと手を出さない方針（だから旧DVD Audio盤のミックスを使用している『ホテル・カリフォルニア40周年記念デラックス・エディション』はスルーしました。）ですが本作品だけは別格でした。と言うのも私の洋楽人生の原点であるからです。1977年中学3年生の頃初めて洋楽を聴き始めた頃に購入したLP盤の中の1枚であり最も衝撃を受けた作品であるからです。最初の『We Will Rock You』からぶっ飛び次の『We Are The Champoins』とまるでトータルアルバムを聴いている様で段々とクイーン・ワールドにはまってしまい聞き終わった時の余韻は一生忘れないと思います。そして本BOXに挿入されている写真等を見ていると『そういえばLP盤にはこんな写真が挿入されていたな。』と思い出し懐かしさのあまり見入ってしまいました。レコードプレーヤーとLP盤全てを押し入れにしまい込んでからもう30年近くになりますからね。そういえば思い出しましたが『DNA』と言う言葉を初めて耳にしたのは楽曲『Sheer Heart Attack』でした。当時は『DNA』と言う言葉が一般的で無くさすがインテリメンバー（全員大学卒）だなと思ったものでした。

あまりの懐かしさに思い出話が長くなりましたが話を本商品の事に戻しますとLP盤はレコードプレイヤーが無いのでスルーし2011年リミックスCD盤もSACD盤を所持しているのでスルーしRaw Sessionsの聴き所は楽曲『All Dead,All Dead』とライブ音源『Sleeping On The Sidewalk』のフレディー・ボーカル・バージョンですね。Bonus Trackのライブ音源も手抜きが無く素晴らしい演奏だと思いました。しかし楽曲『Spread Your Wings：永遠の翼』も前出の『 ライヴ・キラーズ(紙ジャケット仕様) 』と同様の歌い方であまり好きでは無いです。（クレジットに”Live In Europe 1979”とあるので同じ音源かもしれません。）DVD（日本語、英語他 計8か国語の字幕付き）も本作品のレコーディング風景とアメリカ・ツアーの風景がドキュメンタリー風に描かれていて若かりし頃のメンバー（この頃のフレ様の髪型（王子様とヒゲの間の期間）が一番カッコ良いです。）が見れて感動ものでした。一つ興味深かったのはインタビュアーがフレディーに『”We Are The Champoins”の言葉の意味はあるのか？』との質問に対し『特にない。』と返答した事でした。私自身も言葉の真意を知りたかったので残念なのが半分、ホッとしたのが半分と言う所です。

そしてチャートアクションで過去最高の全米第3位を記録し（それまでは『A Night At The Opera：オペラ座の夜』の第4位が最高）全米では最高の400万枚を売り上げシングルカットされた両A面の『We Will Rock You／We Are The Champions』も全米最高の第4位を記録したことから本当の意味でのアメリカンマーケットおよび世界を制覇した作品だと私は思っています。

それから最後になりますが今回は思い入れが深い作品と言う事で購入しましたが、私も他のレビューアーの方と同じ意見でこのパッケージとこの価格であれば次のクイーンのスーパー・デラックス・エディションは購入しないと思います。せめて本編のCD盤を当年の最新リマスター版にするとか5.1chサラウンドのハイレゾ音源を収録して販売価格も他の商品と同レベルの1万円前後にして頂きたいと切に願っております。
